Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are familiar with the running debate about who is the strongest Avenger. That’s one of those questions that has a lot of different answers, and we could debate it for weeks. But we’re posing a different question today: Who is the richest member of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes based on their estimated net worth?

Since assembling for the first time in 2012′s The Avengers, the lineup of the team has constantly changed between movies, and it continues to moving into 2024.

Of course, fans know and love the core group – Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye). However, so many other favorites have been added on along the way as the original group began to hang up their costumes, seemingly for good.

The cast is made up of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. But who has amassed the largest approximate net worth over the years? We did some digging and put together a ranking from lowest to highest. With a net worth millions higher than the second earner, it’s safe to say that we have a clear winner!

How did we decide who to include as a member of the Avengers? We dubbed anyone who fought with the team in the final battle against Thanos in Avengers: Endgame a member of the team and added some other notable heroes who didn’t make it that far.

Plenty of people have a favorite Chris among actors like Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Chris Pine and Chris Pratt.

In fact, the 40-year-old actor was so well cast as Thor that he was seemingly born into the role. However, that isn’t the cast. He actually faced some stiff competition before being cast.

The actor began playing the Norse god in 2011′s Thor and has suited up multiple times since then. The last time he yielded his iconic hammer was in 2022′s Thor: Love and Thunder, which saw him reunite with original franchise star Natalie Portman.

While he quite simply is Thor now, he actually competed with 9 other actors to land the role.

Interestingly, one of them even wound up making his own MCU debut alongside Chris in Thor. Others have recalled suiting up for auditions. Chris himself admitted that he thought he knew was going to get the part at one time, and it was not himself but the star of another very successful franchise.

Robert Downey Jr. spilled some tea on the tattoo he shares with the other founding members of the Avengers.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is massive now. However, at the start it centered around his Iron Man, Chris Evans‘ Captain America, Jeremy Renner‘s Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson‘s Black Widow, Mark Ruffalo‘s Hulk and Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor.

If you were unaware, five of the six members of the core cast decided to get a group tattoo after the release of Avengers: Infinity War in 2018. The movie was one of the final ones that they all appeared in together, and the tattoo commemorates their bond.

During a segment on Wired, Robert opened up about the tattoo, revealing some additional details. For instance, he confirmed which member of the cast opted out of getting inked and which was seemingly hesitant. He even revealed who was brave enough to go first.

Chris, Liam and Luke Hemsworth are all successful actors, which is a good thing. We say that because based on fans’ response to a video from a recent jam session, they shouldn’t consider pursuing a music career like the Jonas Brothers.

On Wednesday (December 27), the Thor actor hopped on Instagram to share a video from a recent jam session he had with his brothers. In it, they belted out Green Day‘s hit song “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).”

However, fans were quick to playfully roast them in the comments section.
