Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance are honoring their close friends Magic Johnson and his wife Cookie.

The couples posed together on the red carpet as they arrived at the 2023 Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS on Thursday (September 21) held at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Fellow guests in attendance included Magic and Cookie‘s son EJ Johnson, Paris Jackson, Mean Girls actor Daniel Franzese, Samuel L. Jackson and wife LaTanya Richardson, Kathy & Rick Hilton, Chucky actress Jennifer Tilly, DWTS pro Gleb Savchenko and girlfriend Elena Belle, and Bling Empire star Christine Chiu.

Some former Hairspray stars stepped out to check out the national tour’s opening night in Hollywood!

Ricki Lake, Maddie Baillio, and Garrett Clayton all walked the red carpet for the opening night celebration on Tuesday (May 2) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

For those who don’t know, Ricki played Tracy Turnblad in the original 1988 film version of Hairspray and Maddie played the role in NBC’s live production in 2016. Garrett played Link Larkin in the NBC production!

Other special guests at the opening night included Lance Bass, Frankie Grande, Bobby Berk, Jodie Sweetin, Dustin Milligan, Tess Holliday, Todrick Hall, James Charles, Ian Paget, Daniel Franzese, and Shangela.

RuPaul’s Drag Race star Andrew Levitt (aka Nina West) is starring in the production as Edna Turnblad alongside newcomer Niki Metcalf as Tracy. You can catch the show at the Dolby Theatre through May 21. Get tickets now!

Katie Couric brought the entire cast together after reaching her goal of getting 5,000 people to register to vote as part of HeadCount’s Good to Vote campaign.

Lindsay Lohan, Tina Fey, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert, Lizzy Caplan, Daniel Franzese, Jonathan Bennett, Tim Meadows, Ana Gasteyer, and Rajiv Surendra all participated in the reunion. Rachel McAdams, who is currently pregnant, was unable to attend the reunion, but she did a solo Zoom call with Katie that was included.

Amanda had to lay down during the call as she just gave birth to her second child, which Katie noted at the beginning.

Tina revealed that she had to change lines in the movie to get a PG-13 rating. She said, “We felt it was important to get that PG-13 so I had to keep peeling that away. I remember one of the weird ones, we couldn’t say… in the cafeteria Jason Weems says ‘is your cherry popped?’ and they wouldn’t let us say it. I do think because it was girls and not boys MPAA were like ‘no,’ they couldn’t handle it. So we had to change ‘is your cherry popped’ to a weird audio replacement of ‘is your muffin buttered,’ which means nothing.”

It’s October 3 – otherwise known as Mean Girls Day!

15 years after the theatrical release of the movie, Lindsay Lohan and her Mean Girls co-stars teamed up for an amazing cause on the fan-created holiday, which honors a line in the movie.

Amanda Seyfried, Lizzy Caplan, Lacey Chabert, Jonathan Bennett, Rajiv Surendra, Daniel Franzese, Jan Caruana and Stephanie Drummond all teamed up for a group video.

The cast is raising money for The Thirst Project, which aims to provide safe drinking water to all people in the country by 2022.

Kim Petras is being celebrated as a fearless woman!

The 26-year-old Turn Off The Light pop superstar was in attendance at the Saks Fearless Women Speaker Series on Wednesday evening (October 3) in New York City.

The series of talks, which began in September and runs through October at the New York flagship store, features trailblazers in their respective fields, including Patti Smith and Jemima Kirke.
