Dascha Polanco makes a statement as she strikes a pose at E! x ELLE x IMG’s NYFW Kickoff Party hosted by TRESemmé at Boom Boom Room at the Standard Hotel on Wednesday (September 4) in New York City.

The Orange is the New Black star was joined at the event by models Halima Aden, Sailor Brinkley Cook, Cameron Dallas, Amelia and Delilah Hamlin, Faith Lynch, Devon Windsor, Eric Rutherford and Yvonne Simone.

“I WAS YOUNG. I NEEDED THE MONEY. Let the fashion BEGIN!,” Dascha captioned with her Instagram post.

Also in attendance at the event was Cody Simpson, Pose star Leyna Bloom, editor Nina Garcia, hairstylist Chris Appleton, The Family‘s Tessa Albertson, God Friended Me‘s Javicia Leslie, Eric West and DJ Ruby Aldridge.

The final season of Orange Is the New Black premiered last week and the final episode features a cliffhanger moment with Dascha Polanco‘s character Daya.

In Daya’s final scene, her mother Aleida Diaz, played by Elizabeth Rodriguez, tackles her to the ground with her hand around her neck. It’s not clear if she survived the attack.

“They made it very clear to me that I don’t die. I thought that she did. But the writers told me, ‘She doesn’t die, but she gets knocked out really well.’ And I realized it was going to be left as that question. I acted that out really well, huh? (Laughs.),” Dascha told THR. “Because I said, ‘Wait a minute! Does she die?’ That was explained to me.”

“The entire last episode was super emotional. Everyone was in their feelings and reliving moments: ‘Remember when we were here?’ After she knocks me out, I would start crying or getting emotional. Not for the scene itself, but for the last couple of days they had everyone come in and we took a ‘last seven seasons’ group picture,” she added.

The cast of Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black are celebrating the premiere of their seventh and final season!

The cast – pregnant Danielle Brooks, Laverne Cox, Uzo Aduba, Laura Prepon and Dascha Polanco – got up bright and early this morning to light the Empire State Building orange in celebration of the last season, which is available now to stream on Netflix.

Danielle Brooks, Laverne Cox and the rest of the cast were also accompanied by the show’s creator Piper Kerman, as well as Laura‘s partner Ben Foster.

The evening before, Uzo Aduba and the rest of the cast walked the carpet at Lincoln Center in style at their big Orange Is the New Black seventh season premiere.

FYI: Danielle is wearing a Reem Acra for 11 Honoré caftan.

Filming for In The Heights is well underway!

Co-stars Anthony Ramos, Dascha Polanco, and Stephanie Beatriz spent the afternoon filming scenes for the upcoming movie on Friday (June 21) in Washington Heights, New York.

In The Heights, set to be released in June of 2020, is a feature version of the Broadway musical, in which a bodega owner has mixed feelings about closing his store and retiring to the Dominican Republic after inheriting his grandmother’s fortune.

The movie is based on the hit show by Lin-Manuel Miranda, which won the award for Best Musical in 2008.

Rihanna is slaying the fashion game!

The 31-year-old entertainer and fashion designer stepped out for the Fenty Pop-Up Launch Party on Tuesday night (June 18) at The Webster in New York City.

Rihanna looked super hot in a neon-pink dress and matching strappy, heels as she celebrated the upcoming new Fenty collection, which launches on Wednesday, June 19.

Guests at the party included Orange is the New Black star Dascha Polanco and Marc Jacobs‘ husband Char Defrancesco.

Mary J. Blige strikes a pose on the pink carpet as she arrives at Netflix’s Rebels & Rule Breakers Emmy For Your Consideration Event on Sunday afternoon (June 2) at the Raleigh Studios in Los Angeles.

The 48-year-old entertainer attended the event to promote her series The Umbrella Academy as she was joined on the panel by Dead to Me stars Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini.

Netflix has not yet announced an official release date for the final season. Previous seasons have arrived in June or July though.
