'Blue Beetle' First Reviews Are In - Find Out What Critics Are Saying!

The DC Comics movie is hitting theaters on August 18, which sees Cobra Kai actor Xolo Maridueña starring as the title character.

The movie traces the origin story of how Blue Beetle came to be.

Here’s a synopsis: Recent college grad Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it. As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the Super Hero Blue Beetle.

George Lopez, Adriana Barraza, Elpidia Carrillo, Damián Alcázar and Belissa Escobedo also star, with Susan Sarandon portraying the main villain Victoria Kord.

Dwayne Johnson is looking back at the rise and fall of his movie Black Adam.

The character will not be returning the the DC Extended Universe amid the new leadership at Warner Bros. and the mild success of the first movie.

Black Adam grossed $393 million at the global box office last year, which unfortunately wasn’t enough to earn the movie a sequel. The end credits scene for the movie teased a battle between Black Adam and Superman, paving the way for Henry Cavill‘s return as the beloved superhero. Unfortunately, that’s no longer happening either.

While appearing on his friend Kevin Hart‘s talk show Hart to Hart, Dwayne opened up about the disappointment with Black Adam.

Ezra Miller Stars in 'The Flash' Second Trailer, Featuring Michael Keaton & Ben Affleck as Batman

The Flash is coming!

The film, starring Ezra Miller, released another trailer on Tuesday (April 25), ahead of its first full screening at 2023 CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

The first trailer released earlier in 2023 revealed that there will be at least two different Ezra Millers who play Barry Allen, aka the Scarlet Speedster.
