Fans Think 'Dead to Me' is a Prequel of 'Grace & Frankie' - Here's the Evidence!

After the new season of Dead to Me was released, fans have started to realize that the show might be connected with another Netflix show – Grace & Frankie!

Fans have started to see connections between Jen and Judy (played by Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini) and Grace and Frankie (played by Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin) thinking that the Dead to Me ladies might be the younger version of Grace & Frankie.

Here’s some of the evidence:

The ladies have very similar personalities. Jen and Grace are both strong-willed and have sharp tongues. They often criticize their hippie friend’s antics. Judy and Frankie are also similar in the sense that they follow their hearts and are guided by spiritual connections to the universe, while also being avid marijuana smokers. Their quirky personalities help balance out their best friends and their uptight personalities.

Judy and Frankie both have infertility problems. During the first season of Dead to Me, Judy struggled to conceive while also suffered from multiple miscarriages. On Grace & Frankie, Frankie couldn’t get pregnant and ended up adopting two sons.

Jen and Grace were both unlucky in love. Before her husband left her for another man, Grace admitted to never being truly happy with her husband. Before his death, Jen and her husband were constantly fighting.

The ladies are all connected by the men in their lives. Judy and Jen became friends after Judy ran over Jen’s husband. Grace and Frankie moved in with each other after their husbands decided to go public with their affair. The ladies often swear off of each other, but their intertwined lives always bring them back together

Christina Applegate Explains Why 'Dead To Me' Is Ending With Season 3

Christina Applegate is opening up about why season three is a good way to end her Netflix series, Dead To Me.

Netflix announced the third and final season earlier today, with a statement from creator Liz Feldman.

“From start to finish, Dead To Me is exactly the show I wanted to make,” she shared. “And it’s been an incredible gift. Telling a story sprung from grief and loss has stretched me as an artist and healed me as a human.”

Liz added, “I’ll be forever indebted to my partners in crime, my friends for life, Christina and Linda, and our brilliantly talented writers, cast and crew. I am beyond grateful to Netflix for supporting Dead To Me from day one.”

Christina also reacted to the news that season three would wrap up the series.

“I will miss these ladies. But we felt this was the best way to tie up the story of these women,” she tweeted. “Thank you to all the fans. We will be getting back to work when it is safe to do so.”

If you didn’t know, season two almost had an entirely different ending. See what it was here!
