Billie Lourd is remembering her late grandma Debbie Reynolds.

The 27-year-old American Horror Story actress took to Instagram on Saturday (December 28) to honor her late grandma with a throwback photo of the two of them on the third anniversary of her death.

The day before, Billie remembered her late mom Carrie Fisher with a beautiful song on the anniversary of her death.

Carrie suffered a heart attack on an airplane from London to Los Angeles on December 23, 2016 and she died four days later. Debbie died the next day after suffering a stroke while planning her daughter‘s funeral.

It has been three years since the deaths of legendary actresses Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds and now more details have been revealed about their final days.

Carrie suffered a medical emergency on an airplane from London to Los Angeles on December 23, 2016 and she died four days later. Her mother Debbie died the next day after suffering a stroke while planning Carrie‘s funeral.

Now, a friend of the family has revealed that Debbie had already set the dinner table for their Christmas celebration before the tragedy happened.

“When Carrie was flying in on the plane [from London], Debbie had already made sure the table was set. The menu, everything,” writer Sue Cameron told People. “But there was no Christmas dinner. The table just sat there.”

Sue also opened up about Debbie‘s love of the holiday.

“Debbie kept a Christmas tree up 24 hours a day, all year,” she said. “Debbie just loved Christmas.”

“I think in a way they’ve never left because there are constant reminders about their lives,” she added. “It’s almost as if they’ve never really gone. Star Wars is back and Carrie’s daughter, Billie, is becoming a star.”

The 27-year-old actress has been cast on the final season of the NBC comedy series as Fiona, the niece of Debra Messing‘s Grace and daughter of Grace’s sister played by Mary McCormack.

You might remember that Debbie played Grace’s mom Bobbi Adler on the original run of the sitcom.

Billie will tape the episode of September 25 and Fiona will be reconnecting with her “cool aunt,” according to Deadline.

“The episode is especially meaningful because of Billie’s relationship to the show,” Will & Grace co-creator/executive producer Max Mutchnick said. “We’re thrilled to have Billie. And best of all – she’s really good.”

The cast of Halloweentown – the 1998 Disney Channel Original Movie that we still look forward to watching every year – is planning a reunion!

Kimberly J. Brown (Marnie) made the announcement on her YouTube page on Tuesday (August 15).

“Hey you guys!” she added on Facebook. “I’m so excited to announce that I’m kicking off the 2017 Spirit of Halloweentown festival this year in St. Helens, Oregon on October 14…and this year, some more members of the Cromwell family are joining me for an extra special tribute to Debbie Reynolds.”

That’s right, Kimberly and her fellow castmates Judith Hoag (Gwen) and Joey Zimmerman (Dylan) will all be on hand for a special tribute to their late co-star at the Spirit of Halloweentown festival on October 14 in St. Helens, Ore., where the movie was filmed.

Emily Roeske (Sophie) will try to make it as well if her schedule allows.

Fans of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds will soon have the opportunity to own some of the late stars’ own personal items.

The mother-daughter duo had amassed a collection of amazing movie memorabilia and the items, including replica ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz and some Star Wars collector pieces, will be auctioned off beginning on September 23.

“My mother and sister were magnificent collectors, they amassed an amazing and diverse collection in their lifetimes,” Todd Fisher said in a statement (via Entertainment Tonight). “The size and scope of their collection rivals most museums. So in keeping with my mother’s wishes we have decided to share part of their magnificent collection with all their friends and fans.”

A portion of the proceeds will support two charities – The Thalians and the Jed Foundation.

Once the auction has been completed, the Fisher-Reynolds compound in Beverly Hills will be put on the housing market.

There’s a Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds museum in the works!

Carrie‘s brother Todd recently explained that he is working on a space to honor his late sister and mother’s legacy.

“There are a lot of things that we have of Carrie‘s that we’re going to put on display in the new museum with Debbie and Carrie,” he told People.

Todd added that he even plans to recreate Carrie‘s writing room.

“So we are going to rebuild Carrie‘s writing room, and we’re actually going to put out her writings, long hand. Carrie did not use a computer. So we’re going to show people the process that she used to create….We’ll have a lot of her things, original things, so people can see how she worked,” he explained.

Todd also said that the museum will contain costumes and other memorabilia that “people don’t necessarily associate” with Carrie.

Billie Lourd has written a birthday tribute for her late grandmother Debbie Reynolds, who would have turned 85 today (April 1).

The 24-year-old Scream Queens actress posted a photo of her grandma Debbie wearing a green outfit while her late mom Carrie Fisher stood behind her.

“🍀�’�🍀 Happy 85th to my constantly classily clad Abadaba �’�,” Billie captioned the photo on Instagram.

Debbie passed away on December 28, one day after Carrie tragically died. They were remembered during a public memorial at Forest Lawn Cemetery last weekend.
