Destry Spielberg is speaking out in response to claims that she’s getting jobs in Hollywood because of nepotism.
The 24-year-old filmmaker, who is the daughter of Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw, just announced that she will be directing her second short film.
Furthering the nepotism debate is the news that the upcoming short will be written by Stephen King‘s son Owen and will star Sean Penn‘s son Hopper.

Destry Allyn just revealed that she’s engaged to Genc Le Grand!
The 23-year-old daughter of filmmaker Steven Spielberg announced the happy news on her Instagram, showing off her glittering oval ring.

“Holy cannoli, I’m engaged!!! 💍💕😍,” Destry announced to her friends, family and fans on the social platform.
She added, “I am so excited to take on life with my best friend! This is the best day ever! I love you so much @legrandgenc !!! 😊😍🥳💍💕.”
After announcing with a photo, Destry took to her Stories to show more of her ring off, and included many of her friends’ reactions to the news.
She added another short video with the word “fiance” hovering over Genc as he phoned a friend.

Every year, the magazine curates a list of the 50 modern swans – accomplished young women who are influencers, entrepreneurs, and up-and-comers in the industry.
Some of the other modern swans joining Carys, 15, were Destry Allyn Spielberg, Sailor Brinkley Cook, Lori Harvey, Larsen Thompson, and Kit Keenan.
“Fashion has been so important in my life, because my mom is like a fashion icon to me,” Carys told Town & Country. “I’m always looking through her closet. She has this one thing, and it’s absolutely crazy. It’s this pink kimonoey coat, but it has this fur and these fringes. It’s just so cool.”
