T.I.'s Daughter Tears Up While Discussing Her Father's Gynecologist Comments - Watch

T.I.‘s daughter is opening up about her father’s comments about taking her to the gynecologist every year to ensure her hymen is still intact.

During Monday night’s (June 15) episode of T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle, Deyjah Harris talked about the immediate fall-out of her father’s comments while they are on a family vacation.

“Things are completely uncomfortable for me right now,” Deyjah, 18, said in a confessional. “We’re all together in this house, so I have to see my Dad and be around him. And we’re in a foreign country so it’s not like I can leave and get away.”

“I’m scrolling on Twitter, and I see that I’ve been tagged in a post,” Deyjah added. “The only word that I saw was ‘gynecologist’ and I didn’t even need to read the whole title ’cause I just knew. My heart sank — very shocked, hurt, angry, embarrassed.”

Deyjah then talked to her cousins about the situation, saying, “I mean, honestly, I’m embarrassed definitely for sure. I’m trying to put it in the back of my mind so I’m not really thinking about it. I know it’s not healthy. But I’ve been doing that since I was a child.”

She then added that T.I. had been going with her to gynecologist appointments “since I was 14 or 15.” Deyjah said that she “couldn’t have said no” to his coming with her.

“I need more time to figure out what I want to say, but things are completely awkward and uncomfortable between me and my Dad,” Deyjah added, while getting emotional. “Prior to all of this happening, our relationship was pretty decent, but after all of this, it’s changed, honestly.”

Back in November, T.I. addressed his comments, saying that he was “joking.”

T.I.'s 18-Year-Old Daughter Deyjah Harris Gets Candid About Her Mental Health & Admits 'It Hasn't Gotten Easier'

T.I.‘s daughter Deyjah Harris is getting very candid.

The 18-year-old got candid about her mental health in a video posted on Tuesday (March 31).

“Transparently speaking, depression and anxiety is something that I’ve been dealing with since about the age of 11,” she said.

“My self-esteem started to become an issue for me in the sixth grade due to bullying. I started to struggle with understanding what it was that I was feeling and I definitely knew that I wasn’t able to express what it was that I was going through.”

She also revealed she turned to “self-inflicted coping mechanisms that weren’t too healthy or beneficial to me or my growth,” and admitted that she had suicidal thoughts.

“There have been multiple times where I couldn’t really envision the evolution of myself due to the fact that I just felt really unmotivated and I also repeatedly had thoughts of me not being here anymore,” Harris said.

“The way that I viewed depression and anxiety at 11 is way more different than I experience it now at 18. In other words, it hasn’t gotten easier for me,” she went on to say.

“However, please don’t let this give you the idea that you won’t get better. It’s really just about healing you and your inner child to prevent any open wounds from carrying into adulthood.”
