Laura Linney happily strikes a pose at the opening night after party for her new play My Name Is Lucy Barton on Broadway at The Copacabana on Wednesday (January 15) in New York City.

The 55-year-old Emmy-winning actress was joined at the event by designer Christian Siriano, Edie Falco, Cynthia Nixon and Cory Michael Smith as they all were in attendance to show their support.

In the monologue piece, Laura plays Lucy Barton, a woman who wakes after an operation to find—much to her surprise—her mother at the foot of her bed. During the weeks-long visit, Lucy tries to understand her past, works to come to terms with her family, and begins to find herself as a writer.

My Name is Lucy Barton opens on Broadway January 15. The Rona Munro play, adapted from Elizabeth Strout‘s best-selling novel, premieres at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre following an acclaimed London run.

Serena Williams shows support for her husband Alexis Ohanian at the New York premiere of his documentary The Game Changers!

The 37-year-old professional tennis player and the 36-year-old internet entrepreneur stepped out for the event held at Regal Battery Park 11 on Monday (September 9) in New York City.

Alex served as an executive producer on the project.

Also in attendance were Tell Me a Story‘s Paul Wesley, Entourage‘s Adrian Grenier, Nurse Jackie‘s Edie Falco, TV personality Dr. Mehmet Oz, and comedian Jon Stewart.

The 36-year-old actress looked lovely in yellow on her way inside the Hudson Theatre on Monday night (April 16) in New York City.

She was also joined at the play by Zachary Quinto, Zach Braff, Ansel Elgort and Mike Faist.

Other attendees included Edie Falco, Jack Antonoff, Christian Slater and Annette Bening.

The Broadway play stars Adam Driver and Keri Russell and follows two unlikely strangers who are brought together by a mysterious death.

Burn This runs through July 14th.

Award winning actress Edie Falco is joining the Avatar sequels in the role of General Ardmore!

The announcement was made earlier today (February 6) on the official Avatar Twitter account.

“We are thrilled to share that Edie Falco is joining the #AvatarFamily as General Ardmore, the Commander in charge of the RDA’s interests in the Avatar Sequels! Are you as excited as we are?,” the tweet read.

Fun fact about Edie: she’s the only actress to ever win an Emmy Award for best actress in both the drama and comedy categories! She won in the past for her work in Nurse Jackie and also for her work in The Sopranos.

James Cameron‘s Avatar 2 is currently set to be released on December 18, 2020. Avatar 3, 4, and 5 will arrive in December, 2021, December 2024, and December 2025, respectively.
