Justin Bartha and Ellen Barkin dress up to film the Halloween episode for their series The New Normal on Monday (October 8) in Los Angeles.

The 34-year-old actor dressed up as a football player and was also joined by co-star Nene Leakes for the afternoon of filming.

In this week’s episode, Ryan Murphy is striking back at the One Million Moms organization that is boycotting his show by having Ellen‘s character recruit three potential future members to stop the playground wedding between her great-granddaughter Shania (Bebe Wood) and her flirty classmate, Wilbur (Isaak Presley). Check out the cast of The New Normal in this new feature for Vogue magazine’s October 2012 issue, which features cover gal Keira Knightley.

The show’s creator Ryan Murphy spoke with the mag about the series and its stars Andrew Rannells, Justin Bartha, Georgia King, Ellen Barkin, NeNe Leakes, and Bebe Wood.

“Andrew‘s character is clearly me,” Ryan said. “Ali Adler, who is the co-creator, is very good at writing me, which is interesting to read. I’m like, ‘Really? I say that?’ It’s a mind trip.”

“Of course we tested it with an audience in Burbank,” Ryan said of a scene in the pilot where two male characters kiss. “And it was the lowest-testing scene in the pilot. Everybody was like, ‘You are going to have to cut that scene if you want to get picked up.’ But then NBC said, ‘Do not touch it. We love it. It’s important.’ And I thought, Wow, it’s a different world than when I was fifteen, watching Paul Lynde on Hollywood Squares.”

Synopsis: These days, families come in all forms – single dads, double moms, sperm donors, egg donors, one-night-stand donors… It’s 2012 and anything goes. Julianne Moore attends a screening of Another Happy Day on Monday (November 14) at the Sunshine Landmark Theater in New York City.

The 50-year-old actress came out to support pal Ellen Barkin, who stars as Lynn in the drama, which takes place during a family wedding.

“I see it as a film about communication, a film about everyone’s desperate need to be heard and the very real fact that nobody is listening anymore to each other,” Ellen told the Huffington Post.

“I see this family as a microcosm of the world we live in. I see the big theme as, ‘How do you keep loving the people you’re meant to love despite their shortcomings?” she added.

Demi Moore attends the premiere of her film Another Happy Day at the Eccles Center Theatre during the 2011 Sundance Film Festival on Sunday (January 23) in Park City, Utah.

The 48-year-old actress was joined by her co-star Ellen Barkin at the premiere. Kate Bosworth, who also stars in the film, walked the red carpet as well!

In the film, Ellen plays a woman who throws a wedding at her parents house, which hurls her into the middle of a family crisis.

Margin Call, Demi‘s other film at Sundance, just got sold to a distributor after a successful showing at the festival!

The Ocean’s 13‘s producer Jerry Weintraub was honored with the Vanguard Producer Award during opening night festivities—Lights, Camera, Take Action.

The premiere benefited the aid group, International Rescue Committee for Not On Our Watch, an organization whose initial campaign is to support existing Darfur humanitarian relief efforts and to ensure the protection of civilians in that region.
