Baz Luhrmann steps out for the opening night performance of Broadway’s Moulin Rouge musical on Thursday (July 25) at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City.
The 56-year-old filmmaker, who wrote and directed the film version, was joined at the event by his wife Catherine Martin, as well as Vogue‘s Anna Wintour and her daughter Bee Shaffer.
Baz and Catherine are credited by the production for their “creative services.”

Gloria Estefan – who was one of last year’s recipients – will be hosting the ceremony that will air on Wednesday, December 26 at 7pm ET on CBS.
Reba was also supported at the event by boyfriend Anthony Lasuzzo.

The annual awards show, which honors the best in Latin music, will be marking its 30th anniversary with a ton of newly announced performers, including Emilio Estefan, Wisin & Yandel, Alejandro Fernández, Ricardo Montaner, Banda MS, Intocable, Piso 21, Natalia Jiménez, Natti Natasha, Silvestre Dangond and Jeon.
Maluma, Bad Bunny and Romeo Santos are among the previously announced performers.
The show will be broadcasted live on Univision from the American Airlines Arena in Miami on February 22 at 7 p.m. ET/PT.
