Grey’s Anatomy is now airing its 20th season and we’re taking a look at all of the cast members who returned for the milestone installment of the franchise… and who didn’t.

This is the first full season without Ellen Pompeo in the title role, but thankfully several major stars are coming back.

It was reported early last year that six series regulars signed on to return for the 20th season, including two actors who have been with the show since day one.

Season 20 premiered on March 14, 2024 and will be airing for the rest of the spring.

There have been some recent shakeups in the cast of Grey’s Anatomy ahead of the season 20 premiere, including news about former cast members coming back and beloved stars not returning.

'Grey's Anatomy' Season 20 Trailer Teases Ellen Pompeo's Return & Introduces New Characters

ABC has released an official trailer for the 20th season of Grey’s Anatomy ahead of the premiere in a couple weeks.

The new trailer teases Ellen Pompeo‘s return to the show for a four-episode arc, as well as the introduction of Natalie Norales‘ new character Dr. Monica Beltran.

The trailer was also filled with plenty of drama with Scott Speedman‘s Dr. Nick Marsh threatening to fire one of the interns and Kim Raver‘s Dr. Teddy Altman collapsing in surgery.

Grey’s Anatomy season 20 will debut on ABC on March 14 at 9pm ET.

'The L Word: Generation Q' Cast Celebrate Season Premiere!

The L Word: Generation Q cast are celebrating their big premiere!

The stars of the series – Jennifer Beals, Leisha Hailey, Arienne Mandi, Katherine Moennig, Sepideh Moafi, Jacqueline Toboni, Rosanny Zayas, Fortune Feimster, Jordan Hull, Leo Sheng, Brian Michael Smith, Freddy Miyares and Stephanie Allynne – all got together to celebrate on the red carpet at the premiere held at Regal LA Live on Monday (December 2) in Los Angeles.

The leading cast were also joined by showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan, as well as producers Ilene Chaiken and Allyce Ozarski.

Also in attendance to show their support for the premiere were Darren Criss and his love Mia Criss, King Princess, Chester Lockhart, Emily Hampshire, comedian Tig Notaro, Olivia Thirlby, and Nico Santos with his partner Zeke Smith.

The L Word: Generation Q, which debuts on Showtime at December 8 at 10 p.m. ET, is a sequel to the original series The L Word, which ran from 2004 to 2009.

FYI: Jennifer is wearing Dorothee Schumacher. Olivia is wearing French Kande earrings. Jacqueline is wearing a Rosie Assoulin look with Rupert Sanderson heels, Noudar earrings, a Borgioni ear cuff, Melinda Maria ear cuffs, and Noudar rings.
