Gabourey Sidibe and her boyfriend Brandon Frankel have written the sweetest messages for each other on Instagram as a way to kick off 2020!

The 36-year-old Oscar-nominated actress is featured in many selfies that Brandon posted to his page. He also wrote a lengthy caption about his love for her.

“Here’s to 2020- this past year was one of the toughest, but also one of the most rewarding and fulfilling of my life all at the same time! I’m truly thankful for my close family, friends, associates past and present…and most of all, for THIS Queen right here,” Brandon wrote. “You’re a ball of sunshine, so generous and giving of your time, resources, and love- and your excitement and passion for life and people/things you love truly lights up my heart.”

“You’ve taught me so much about life, myself, and the world that is truly invaluable. You make me push myself to be a better me, even though you probably don’t even realize you are. I love you more and more every single day- which seems impossible, but continually amazes me. Here’s to 2020- and thank you for loving me so unconditionally. I love being your forever-Dork. ❤️❤️❤️,” he added.

Gabby wrote a comment on the post saying, “You’re my favorite Love Song. You’re the cherry on top of this last decade and the foundation of the next. I’m excited for all the matching hoodies, Mickey/Minnie outfits to DisneyLand, and your favorite shirts that somehow become MY favorite shirts. You make me happier than I’ve ever been. I’m so glad we found each other and I’m gonna point and yell ‘DOG!’ for you, when I see one in public forever.

While Gabby has only posted subtle hints to their relationship on Instagram, Brandon has been sharing photos with her since May 2019.

Brandon used to work at Paradigm Talent Agency and he started his own brand partnerships and talent representation agency called Contra Inc. in 2017.

Gabourey Sibide and Grant Rosenmeyer star in the heartwarming new film, Come As You Are.

The film centers on three young men with disabilities (Rosenmeyer, Hayden Szeto, and Ravi Patel), who flee their overbearing parents on a road trip to a brothel in Montreal catering to people with special needs.

Gabourey plays Sam, a traveling nurse, who drives the three guys across the border as they go on this trip to lose their virginity and embrace their independence.

Come As You Are is a retelling of Belgian film, Hasta La Vista, and will hit theaters and VOD on February 14th.

Guava Island is almost here!

Donald Glover kept it cool and casual while attending the premiere of Guava Island hosted by Amazon Prime Video on Thursday night (April 11) at the 2019 Coachella Music Festival.

The 35-year-old singer and actor was joined at the celebration by his Guava Island director Hiro Murai, producers Fam Udeorji and Carmen Cuba, and the Head of Amazon Studios Jennifer Salke.

Also in attendance to show their support were Lena Waithe, Gabourey Sidibe and Riley Keough.

The film, also starring Rihanna, Nonso Anozie and Letitia Wright, will be made available to stream on Amazon on Saturday (April 13) at 12:01 a.m until 6 p.m at Amazon.com/guavaisland, after which it will be available only for Amazon Prime Video customers.

Empire co-stars Gabourey Sidibe and Jussie Smollett pose for a photo together at the Black AIDS Institute’s 2018 Heroes in The Struggle Gala at California African American Museum on Saturday night (December 1) in Los Angeles.

Gabourey was honored as one of the heroes this year.

Also seen at the event were Billy Porter, who was also honored at the event, as well as EJ Johnson.

If you don’t know, the event fell on World AIDS day, which happens on December 1 ever year.

Natalie Portman and Rashida Jones are all smiles as they pose for a photograph backstage at The 2018 MAKERS Conference at NeueHouse Hollywood on Monday (February 5) in Los Angeles.

The ladies were in attendance to represent Time’s Up.

Joining Natalie and Rashida at the panel were filmmaker Ava DuVernay, CAA motion picture agent Maha Dakhil, Katie McGrath, Grammy-winning music video director Melina Matsoukas, entertainment lawyer Nina Shaw and writer-producer Jill Soloway.

“Usually we’re the only woman at work. Like many other industries, we walk onto a nearly all male set and we’re usually alone and we rarely get to interact with each other,” Natalie said (via THR) about the movement bringing together women. “If you’re the only woman in the room it isolates you and prevents you from sharing stories so if there are predators you don’t talk to each other. It’s empowering to be in a room, on the same team, and refuse to be pitted against each other. There’s not only one spot–we’re going to make room for all of us. It’s really powerful. And we have all these new friends.”

Natalie and the ladies also announced that, since the January 1st launch of Time’s Up, the organization has raised $20 million and received requests for legal aid from those who lack the means to defend themselves from workplace abuses — farm workers, hotel workers, steelworkers, and others.
