The first major popularity surge happened back in 2017 when Meghan Markle, one of the show’s stars, was discovered to be dating her future husband, Prince Harry.

The series saw a renewed surge when it debuted to huge numbers on Netflix last year.

The Wiz is getting so close to premiering on Broadway, but first the national tour is playing in Los Angeles.

Wayne Brady and Deborah Cox are leading the Broadway-bound revival of the beloved musical and they celebrated opening night at the Pantages Theatre on Wednesday (February 14) in Hollywood.

They were joined by co-stars Nichelle Lewis, Melody A. Betts, Kyle Ramar Freeman, Phillip Johnson Richardson, and Avery Wilson at the opening night celebration.

Some of the celebs who stepped out to support the opening night performance included Cynthia Erivo and partner Lena Waithe, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Gina Torres, Amber Ruffin, Robin Thede, and Kandi Burress.

The Wiz is currently playing at the Pantages Theatre through March 3. The production will then begin performances on Broadway on March 29. The second leg of the North American tour will begin in February 2025.

Judge Judy is in her first-ever Super Bowl commercial and now she’s Judge Beauty… with the stars from Suits acting as lawyers in the ad.

Rick Hoffman and Gina Torres face off against each other in the commercial, which also features Sarah Rafferty. The jury is made up of Meghan Trainor, Jury Duty‘s Ronald Gladden, social star Benito Skinner, RuPaul’s Drag Race star Heidi N Closet, and former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho.

There was a Suits reunion on stage at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

It was previously revealed that Patrick J Adams and Gabriel Macht would reunite to present an award, and it was reported more stars were invited. During the ceremony, Gina Torres and Sarah Rafferty joined the guys on stage to present the Best Drama TV Series, which went to Succession for the third time!

During the awards show, Patrick and Gabriel first took to the stage and started to present the award, while also cracking a joke about their show “finally getting recognition.”
