Tyra Banks strikes a pose at the closing night party of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit On location weekend held at Mynt and MynTu on Saturday (May 11) in Miami, Fla.

The 45-year-old model and cover girl was joined by fellow cover girl Camille Kostek, Barbara Palvin, Kate Brock, Jasmine Sanders, and Olivia Culpo.

Also in attendance were Hailey Clauson, Raine Michaels, Kelsey Merritt, Anne de Paula, Halima Aden, Hunter McGrady, Samantha Hoopes, and Danielle Herrington.

The next day, Tyra shared her own spin on the 10 year challenge, involving a comparison of her first Sports Illustrated cover and her now, in the same bikini.

“Remember the 10 year challenge every one was doing on social? The one where you posted a photo of yourself now next to a photo of yourself 10 years ago?” Tyra wrote on Instagram. “Well, I guess this is my @si_swimsuit 22 year challenge. Scroll the pic to see. But to me, it’s not just about what I’m looking like. It’s about what I’m FEELING like. Back then, I knew I had a plan to do more than model. I knew I wanted to make a difference. I knew I had a calling to do more than for just myself. I just didn’t know HOW I was gonna do it.”

“Today, 22 years later, I rise out of bed everyday to show that yes, a woman who was a model (and is now a model again!) can indeed be powerful beyond pictures. Can indeed be a strong leader in changing the world’s perceptions of narrowly defined beauty. Halima Aden is making history in the 2019 issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, out on May 8.

The 21-year-old model and activist is the first hijab-wearing model featured in the issue.

On being featured: “SI Swimsuit has been at the forefront of changing the narrative and conversation on social issues and preconceived notions. I’m hoping this specific feature will open doors up for my Somali community, Muslim community, refugee community and any other community that can relate to being different.”

On making history: “This feature is proving that a fully covered hijab wearing model can confidently stand alongside a beautiful woman in a revealing bikini and together they can celebrate one another, cheer each other on, and champion each other’s successes.”

On her heritage: “Young Muslim women need to know that there is a modest swimsuit option available to them so they can join the swim team, participate in swim class at school, and go with their friends to the beach. Muslim girls should feel confident taking that step and doing so comfortably while wearing a burkini.”

“For me, as a fashion model, it’s really important to see that they care about mother nature,” Irina told THR about the new line. “We live in the 21st century and the technology is amazing, so you can see all those pieces are still cool and colorful and fashionable. … We all know what’s going on in the world — climate change — and look how many tons of plastic get dumped in the ocean and how many animals’ lives get hurt by it.”

The calendar was shot by Mario Sorrenti, and is a tribute to women’s strength and beauty, inspired by the natural uniqueness and ethereality of flowers mixed with the iconic symbol for breast cancer awareness, the pink ribbon.

Shay Mitchell and Rowan Blanchard keep it classic as Tiffany & Co. Celebrates the Holidays with a Girls Night In!

The 31-year-old You actress and the 17-year-old A Wrinkle in Time star teamed up for the event held at Tiffany & Co. on Thursday (November 29) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

They were joined by Chloe X Halle, Halima Aden, Sami Miro, Amanda Steele, and Bria Vinaite.

After sipping cocktails and enjoying music by DJ Kittens and magic tricks by John Steiner, guests experienced a rare sit-down dinner on the third floor of the brand’s West Coast flagship.

The night continued as the girls revealed their Secret Santa identities and exchanged gifts they picked out for one another prior to arriving, including Tiffany & Co. jewelry and pieces from the Home & Accessories collection.

To close out the evening, Caroline Vreeland gave an impromptu performance of “Santa Baby” and a song from her upcoming album.

Julianne Moore, Cate Blanchett and Armie Hammer are showing off their passion for sustainable fashion!

The three were among the many stars in attendance at the 2018 Green Carpet Fashion Awards, Italia on Sunday (September 23) at La Scala in Milan, Italy.

The new awards ceremony is one of the world’s foremost sustainability and fashion events.

Elle Macpherson and Colin Firth were among the attendees celebrating the key changemakers and organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to and investment in positive change.

This year’s sustainable green carpet covered Piazza La Scala using more than 1,700 square meters of ECONYL regenerated nylon, created from rescued fishing nets and other nylon waste. All plants and flowers used in the production get donated to the City of Milan after the awards, with birdcages and other props hired from Central Italy Artisans. 100% proceeds from ticket sales go to the charitable initiative, CNMI Fashion Trust. 100 students form Italian fashion schools and universities were also supplied complimentary tickets to the ceremony.

Several attendees took on the Green Carpet Challenge, including Barbara Palvin in Philosophy, Alison Brie in Miu Miu, Hari Nef in Gucci and Isabela Fontani in Missoni.
