Jamie Bell has lined up his next project and will star in Shining Girls, according to Deadline.
The 35-year-old actor will star opposite Elisabeth Moss and Wagner Moura in the thriller, based on the 2013 book from Lauren Beukes.
Elisabeth will play a Kirby, a Chicago reporter who survived a brutal assault only to find her reality shifting as she hunts down her attacker.
Wagner will portray a veteran journalist breaking the widening story of a copycat attack, and Jamie is set to play a mysterious loner with a surprising connection to Kirby.
Shining Girls is being set up as a series, with Silka Luisa signed on as the showrunner and executive producer for Apple TV+.
The movie, based on Tom Clancy‘s novel of the same name tells the origin story of John Kelly (aka John Clark), a U.S. Navy SEAL, who uncovers an international conspiracy while seeking justice for the murder of his pregnant wife by Russian soldiers.
When Kelly joins forces with fellow SEAL Karen Greer and shadowy CIA agent Robert Ritter, the mission unwittingly exposes a covert plot that threatens to engulf the U.S. and Russia in an all-out war.
The movie includes a very interesting mid-credits scene that might hint at even more Tom Clancy movies to come.

Here’s the plot summary, via Amazon: “In a war-torn region of Syria, an elite team of Navy SEALs led by Sr. Chief John Kelly (Jordan) rescues a CIA operative taken hostage by ex-Russian military forces. Three months later, in apparent retaliation for his role in the mission, Kelly’s pregnant wife Pam (Lauren London) is murdered in the U.S. by a squad of masked Russian assassins. Despite being shot multiple times himself, Kelly manages to kill all but one of the attackers before being rushed to the hospital.”
“Meanwhile in Washington D.C., Kelly’s friend and former SEAL team member Lt. Commander Karen Greer (Jodie Turner-Smith) meets with CIA agent Robert Ritter (Jamie Bell) and Secretary of Defense Thomas Clay (Guy Pearce) to discuss their response options. Leaked news of Russia’s unprecedented attack on American soil has caused the already-strained relations between the two nations to sour further. If something isn’t done soon the result could be a full-scale war.”

Jamie Bell is putting on his dancing shoes once again and taking on an iconic role opposite Margaret Qualley.
The two actors will be telling the story of how Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, became Fred & Ginger.
According to Deadline, the Amazon project will go “behind the beloved stage personas of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, examining what individually drove them while celebrating the creative magic between them.”
The summary adds that the film will “tell the untold, real love story between the two legends both on and off the screen.”
In addition to starring in the movie, Margaret and Jamie will also produce along with Fred Berger, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Arash Amel, and Max Minghella.
The iconic dancing and acting duo, Fred and Ginger starred in 10 movies together, starting in 1933 with Flying Down to Rio before ending their on screen partnership in 1049′s The Barkleys of Broadway.

The 37-year-old A Teacher actress made an appearance on The Tonight Show this week where she made a rare comment about their 2017 wedding.
“He dances every day,” Kate told host Jimmy Fallon about Jamie, who starred in Billy Elliot as a child. “But now that there’s kids, he dances like a dad. I’ll be doing my lesson and he’ll dance by the screen in the background. You would never know he was Billy Elliot. If he was gonna do something it would have to be months of preparation.”
Kate added that there was once months of preparation for their wedding dance, but just a week before the event, Jamie scrapped it.
“For our wedding, for example, the most romantic thing he’s ever done for me so far, was for our wedding dance,” she shared. “I wanted to learn a swing dance with him because I love swing dancing. It took a lot of convincing because he hates dance lessons.”
“We spent about 4 weeks doing this swing dancing lesson and learning this whole dance and then literally the week before the wedding he was pacing around the room and I said, ‘What’s the matter,’ and he was like, ‘The choreography is just not good enough. We’ve got to scrap the dance.’” Kate added. “We didn’t do it for the wedding. We ended up slow dancing to our favorite Mexican song.”
The couple met on the set of Fantastic Four and married a year after the film’s premiere. They share a one-year-old daughter, and Jamie is also dad to a son, Jack, who he shares with ex, Evan Rachel Wood.

Letitia Wright and Jamie Bell will star in the upcoming movie Surrounded, which is set five years after the Civil War.
Deadline reports that in the movie, “former Buffalo Soldier Moses ‘Mo’ Washington travels west to lay claim on a gold mine bequeathed by her late slaveowner father. It is a mean, dangerous world for an unaccompanied Black woman and so Mo travels into the deep frontier disguised as a man. After her stagecoach is ambushed, she is tasked with holding a dangerous outlaw captive and must survive the day when the bandit’s gang tries to free him.”
Lovecraft Country‘s Michael K. Williams will also star in the movie, which will be directed by longtime music video director Anthony Mandler.
Mandler‘s directorial debut is a movie called Monster, which will debut on Netflix next year.
“I couldn’t be more excited that Surrounded is the first film under my partnership with Aaron L. Gilbert’s Bron and the Blackhand Media banner,” Mandler said in a statement. “I’ve always loved the Western genre and the opportunity to tell this story from the eyes of a Black female during the Wild West is an honor.”
