Harry Potter Is All Grown Up in First 'Cursed Child' Photos

The grown-up versions of Harry Potter, Albus Potter, and Ginny Weasley are pictured in the first official photos from the upcoming stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Jamie Parker, Sam Clemmett, and Poppy Miller play the respective roles in the eighth story in the beloved franchise.

“He simply is Harry now. There’s a kind of relief in watching him, he gets it so right,” author and playwright J.K. Rowling said about the older version of the wizard.

“There’s much I could say about Sam-as-Albus, but we’d be into spoiler territory so quickly I’ll just say we couldn’t have cast better,” Rowling said about the actor playing Harry’s son.

“I think a lot of people would like to have Poppy‘s Ginny for a mother. Kind and cool, exactly as I imagined her,” she added about the older version of the Weasley sister.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child begins performances in London on June 7!

'Harry Potter & The Cursed Child' Casts Actors for Adult Harry, Ron, & Hermione!

The three actors playing adult Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the upcoming stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child have been revealed!

Jamie Parker, pictured to the right, will be playing the role of Harry Potter. Noma Dumezweni will be playing Hermione Granger and Paul Thornley will play Ron Weasley.

“I’m so excited with the choice of casting for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I can’t wait to see Jamie, Noma and Paul bring the adult Harry, Hermione and Ron to life on stage next summer,” author and playwright J.K. Rowling said in a statement.

Here is the synopsis of the play, intended to be the eighth story in the franchise: “It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.”

Performances start on June 7, 2016 and there are two parts to the play, which can be seen separately or on the same day.
