Eva Longoria, Orlando Bloom, & More Stars Attend 'Elemental' Premiere at Cannes 2023

The stars are stepping out for the premiere of Disney & Pixar’s new movie!

Eva Longoria, Orlando Bloom, and Jane Fonda hit the red carpet at the Elemental premiere held during the 2023 Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 27) held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.

Elemental is an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, where Fire-, Water-, Earth- and Air-residents live together.

The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.

Elemental hits theaters on June 16 – watch the trailer here!

Kate Winslet, Jane Fonda & Eva Longoria Step Out For The Lights On Women Awards During Cannes

Kate Winslet and Jane Fonda step out in chic power suits for L’Oreal’s Lights on Women Award event during the 2023 Cannes Film Festival on Friday (May 26) in Cannes, France.

The two award-winning actresses hit up the event alongside many other stars including Eva Longoria, Leïla Bekhti, Fatoumata Guinea Kaba, Renata Notni, Anushka Sharma, Taís Araújo, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau with his wife, Nukaka Coster-Waldau.

The Short Films Jury – Charlotte Le Bon, Ana Lily Amirpour, Ildikó Enyedi, Shlomi Elkabetz, and Karidja Touré – were also seen on the black carpet for the event.

Created in 2021, the Lights on Women Award “attempts to create a path for women in film to advance their careers while also addressing the industry’s under-representation of women.”

Kate is the presenter of the award, and in a statement shared that at “every festival, a new generation of female directors remind us of the power and importance of female storytelling. I’m delighted to return to the Festival de Cannes with L’Oréal Paris to support women filmmakers.”

She added, “It’s a privilege to be part of something that was specifically created to support and nurture women in film, and to be able to showcase their skills and to celebrate their unique work. I am extremely excited to watch their stories unfold in the Cannes Short Film selection for this year.”

Earlier in the day, Eva was seen in a stunning sheer dress for the latest Cannes premiere.

Jane Fonda Opened Up About Her Co-Stars, Revealing Her Favorite to Work With, 2 That Didn't Seem to Like Her, 1 That 'Has an Issue With Women' & 1 Who Lost His Looks

Jane Fonda is sharing anecdotes about some of her many co-stars from over the years, and she isn’t holding back!

The 85-year-old screen icon opened up about her past collaborators during an interview in the midst of the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.

In the process, she discussed everyone from Robert Redford and Katharine Hepburn to Michael Douglas and Lily Tomlin.

Jane revealed who is her favorite person to work with, hypothesized that two stars didn’t like her, said another “has an issue with women” and that another had lost their looks. We gathered together some of the most noteworthy recollections.

Jane Fonda opened up about going skinny dipping with Michael Jackson.

The 85-year-old Book Club actress recalled swimming naked with the King of Pop during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live earlier this week.

She offered the information up on her own accord while playing a game of Plead the Fifth with host Andy Cohen.

Jane revealed when it happened and hypothesized as to why. She also confirmed that she’d seen another Hollywood star in the buff.

Jane Fonda Names the Director Who Tried to Sleep With Her

Jane Fonda made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live! alongside two of her Book Club: The Next Chapter co-stars Candace Bergen and Mary Steenburgen, and she played Plead the Fifth with host Andy Cohen.

First, she was asked which movie she should have won an Oscar for but didn’t. She responded with her 1981 hit film On Golden Pond, which she starred in with her dad Henry Fonda.

Next, she was to name “one man in Hollywood” who tried to “pick her up.” She actually named a name.

Jane Fonda, Mary Steenburgen, Diane Keaton & Candice Bergen Already Have Ideas For 'Book Club 3'

The stars of Book Club: The Next Chapter lit up the red carpet for the NYC premiere on Monday (May 8)!

Mary Steenburgen, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, and Diane Keaton walked the carpet with co-star Don Johnson and director Bill Holderman.

Mary‘s husband, Ted Danson, and her daughter, Lilly MacDowell, were also seen at the premiere.

Earlier in the day, Jane, Mary, Candice and Diane revealed that they already have an idea of where a third possible Book Club movie would take place – Burning Man!

Candice suggested the festival during their Today appearance and Mary replied that “she’s the brilliant person who chose that the second movie would be in Italy.”

“On a plane to Vegas to promote the first one, when we were hearing that this may become a hit, she said, ‘If we do a sequel, we have to do it in Italy,’” Jane recalled.

Mary added, “I’ll go anywhere that they go.”
