Kim Kardashian Explains Why Kanye West Used His Phone During 'The Cher Show' on Broadway

Kim Kardashian is speaking out after Kanye West was blasted by a cast member of Broadway’s The Cher Show for using his phone during the musical’s opening night performance.

The married couple were special guests at the show and Kanye was called out on Twitter by actor Jarrod Spector in the middle of the performance.

“He felt like s–t, honestly. But he was actually taking notes because he loved the production of the show so much,” Kim told E! News. “He was the one right away who said, ‘Oh my God, I’m gonna tweet. I just need to apologize. There’s no excuses. Like, who cares what my excuse is. It was rude and I need better etiquette.’”

Kanye West Apologizes for His Lack of Etiquette at 'Cher Show'

Kanye West is speaking out to apologize for his lack of etiquette while attending the opening night performance of the new Broadway musical The Cher Show.

During the performance, the show’s male lead Jarrod Spector tweeted to Kanye to ask him to stop using his phone.

Kanye responded directly to Jarrod‘s tweet and said, “the dynamics of Cher and Sonny’s relationship made Kim and I grab each other’s hand and sing ‘I got you babe.’”

“please pardon my lack of etiquette. We have so much appreciation for the energy you guys put into making this master piece,” he added.

Using a cell phone or any electronic device during a live performance on Broadway is strictly prohibited in all theaters.

'Cher Show' Star Calls Out Kanye West for Using Phone During Opening Night Performance

Kanye West attended the opening night performance of the Broadway musical The Cher Show, but he seemingly wasn’t paying attention to the show.

Tony-nominated actor Jarrod Spector, who plays Sonny Bono in the musical, called out Kanye for being on his phone throughout the performance.

“Hey @kanyewest so cool that you’re here at @TheCherShow! If you look up from your cell phone you’ll see we’re doing a show up here. It’s opening night. Kind of a big deal for us. Thanks so much,” Jarrod tweeted.

Opening night is often the biggest night of an actor’s career, especially for the three actors making their Broadway debuts in this musical.

Before the performance, Kanye walked the red carpet with his wife Kim Kardashian, whose fashion icon is Cher. The legend herself was at the performance too.
