Jean-Marc Vallee‘s cause of death has officially been revealed.
The Dallas Buyers Club, Sharp Objects, and Big Little Lies director died suddenly and unexpectedly on Christmas Day in 2021 at the age of 58.
He was found dead at his cabin outside Quebec City, Canada the following day, and a cause of death was not immediately revealed.
On Wednesday (April 13), Jean-Marc‘s family shared the final coroner’s report.

The family of Jean-Marc Vallée have released a lengthy statement following his tragic death at the age of 58.
Vallée was found dead in his lakeside cabin in Canada and an official cause of death was not known immediately, but a heart attack was suspected.

Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley are mourning the loss of director Jean-Marc Vallée, who directed the first season of their HBO hit drama Big Little Lies.
Reese also worked with him on their film, Wild.
Jean-Marc passed away at the age of 58 at his cabin outside Quebec City over the weekend. His cause of death has not yet been released, but reports have emerged stating his friends and family are “in shock.”
