Former Friends director James Burrows is speaking out about his experience working with one of the actors that appeared on the hit NBC series, suggesting they were not funny.
If you don’t know, Friends aired from 1994-2004 and starred Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and the late Matthew Perry. It became an instant hit, and still is a huge fan favorite today.

The commercial is all about being forgetful, and these stars all seem to be forgetting quite a bit. Jennifer totally forgets who David is, Victoria can’t remember the name of the Spice Girls, Jelly Roll thinks his face tattoos are fake, and Usher can’t remember he is performing in the halftime show.

There were rumors that the cast of Friends would show up at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards to pay tribute to the late Matthew Perry, but that didn’t happen.
Matthew did get the final spot in the In Memoriam segment that aired on Monday (January 15) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The Friends theme song was even played as the In Memoriam piece ended, but the five surviving cast members – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer – didn’t show up.
The producers of the Emmys telecast are now explaining why.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are both looking amazing, as usual, at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards on Sunday (January 14) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.
If you don’t know, they are both nominated this evening for their work in Apple TV+’s The Morning Show. They are actually competing against one another in the Best Actress in a Drama Series category. Also seen on the red carpet at the show were their co-stars Jon Hamm, Greta Lee, and Karen Pittman.
The show has six total nominations, including Best Drama Series.
The Critics Choice Awards show is being hosted by Chelsea Handler this year, marking her second year in a row as host. The ceremony airs on The CW starting at 4pm PT/7pm ET and is airing live on both coasts. Make sure to check out the full list of nominations!
