Lin-Manuel Miranda is at opening night!

The 39-year-old Hamilton creator was in attendance for the opening night of The Wrong Man on Monday (October 7) at the Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space in New York City.

Here’s a plot summary: “The wrong man meets the wrong woman in the wrong place at the wrong time. Set in Reno, Nevada, The Wrong Man is the story of Duran, a man just scraping by who is framed for a murder he didn’t commit, told through poetic lyrics and haunting melodies.” Click here for ticket info!

Constance Wu is helping celebrate women in film!

The 37-year-old actress stepped out for the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences’ Women’s Initiative luncheon on Wednesday afternoon (October 2) at the Rainbow Room in New York City.

She was also joined at the event by Cynthia Erivo, Meg Ryan, Greta Gerwig, Jennifer Nettles and Laura Dern.

During the event, Laura and Greta took to the stage to discuss their careers in the film industry.

The annual event, presented by E! and Swarovski, honors the Academy’s Women’s Initiative and its efforts to create opportunities for female filmmakers to connect, share their stories and celebrate inclusion.

The 32-year-old Emmy, Grammy, and Tony-winning actress was joined at the event by her co-stars Joe Alwyn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jennifer Nettles, Nick Basta, Henry Hunter Hall, Omar Dorsey, Vondie Curtis-Hall, as well as producer Debra Martin Chase.

Also in attendance was Jojo Rabbit director Taika Waititi who stepped out to support the cast as they enjoyed specialty themed CÎROC Vodka cocktails, Harriet and Freedom Fighter.

The first trailer for Harriet has just debuted online with Cynthia Erivo in the title role.

Based on the thrilling and inspirational life of an iconic American freedom fighter, this movie tells the extraordinary tale of Harriet Tubman’s escape from slavery and transformation into one of America’s greatest heroes. Her courage, ingenuity, and tenacity freed hundreds of slaves and changed the course of history.

Leslie Odom Jr., Janelle Monáe, Joe Alwyn, Jennifer Nettles, and Clarke Peters also star in the film, in theaters on November 1.

Honoree Taraji P. Henson is all smiles at Variety’s Power Of Women: New York event!

The 48-year-old Empire actress looked chic at the event, presented by Lifetime, at Cipriani Midtown on Friday (April 5) in New York City.

She was joined by fellow honorees Kacey Musgraves, Bette Midler, and Christiane Amanpour.

Presenters included CBS This Morning‘s Gayle King, Gloria Bell actress Julianne Moore, and The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon (wearing some interesting tiny props on his fingers). The Daily Show comedian Michelle Wolf hosted the event.

Also in attendance were Bethenny & Fredrik‘s Bethenny Frankel, journalist Carole Radziwill, “Babe” singer Jennifer Nettles, Freak Show actress Trudie Styler, and Ashley Graham, who had fun with fellow model Gigi Hadid while inside.

Maren Morris and Kacey Musgraves both look stunning on the red carpet at the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year gala on Friday night (February 8) at the L.A. Convention Center in Los Angeles.

The event honored Dolly Parton as the Person of the Year and tons of country stars stepped out to pay tribute to their icon.

Some more country music entertainers in attendance included Jennifer Nettles, Brandi Carlilie (who performed with the legendary Willie Nelson), Little Big Town, Chris Stapleton, Lauren Daigle, Florida Georgia Line‘s Tyler Hubbard, and married couple Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.

Maren was joined on the carpet by her husband Ryan Hurd.
