Viola Davis stuns in a bright pink dress at the premiere of her new movie, The Woman King, during the 2022 Toronto Film Festival at Roy Thomson Hall on Friday (September 9) in Toronto, Canada.

The 57-year-old actress joined her costars John Boyega, Lashana Lynch, Sheila Atim, Makgotso M, Thuso Mbedu, Sivuyile Ngesi, Masali Baduza, Siyamthanda Makakane, and Hero Fiennes Tiffin, as well as director Gina Prince-Bythewood at the red carpet event.

Just a few hours earlier, the cast were seen at a Twitter Q&A panel in support of the movie.

Ahead of the screening of the movie, Viola gave an impassioned speech about it, calling it her “magnum opus”.

John Boyega knows that people are comparing him to Denzel Washington, but he’s not here for it.

The 30-year-old actor stepped out this week for the premiere of his new movie Breaking on Wednesday night (August 24) at The London in West Hollywood, Calif.

John was joined at the event by co-stars Nicole Beharie, Connie Britton, and Selenis Leyva, as well as writer and director Abi Damaris Corbin.

The movie, which also stars the late Michael K. Williams, follows a Marine war veteran who faces mental and emotional challenges when he tries to reintegrate back into civilian life. The film is getting comparisons to Denzel‘s John Q and the phrase “John is Denzel” was recently trending on Twitter.

So many stars are stepping out for the premiere of Jordan Peele‘s new movie Nope.

Lupita Nyong’o and John Boyega were among the celebs spotted at the movie’s world premiere at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, Calif. on Monday (July 18).

Other stars seen at the event included Lil Rel Howery and Dannella Lane, Corey Feldman, Kelly Rowland, Steph and Ayesha Curry, Miguel and Nazanin Mandi, Michael B. Jordan, Karrueche Tran, Storm Reid and Jabari Banks.

Nope follows residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery. The movie is set to hit theaters on July 22 and you can see the trailer here.
