Prince Harry Pitched Meghan Markle's Voiceover Work to 'Lion King' Director Jon Favreau

Prince Harry didn’t just pitch Meghan Markle‘s voiceover work to Disney CEO Bob Iger!

It turns out that Harry also recommended Meghan to Lion King director Jon Favreau during the film’s premiere last July.

In new footage obtained by Daily Mail, Harry and Meghan can be heard joking about voiceover work.

“Next time anyone needs any extra voiceover work, we can make ourselves available,” Harry said to Jon before Meghan joked, “That’s really why we’re here – it’s the pitch!”

Harry quickly added, “Anything like that, just not Scar! That’s a no to Scar.”

The pitch with Bob and Jon came just months before Meghan was hired by Disney to work on a project in exchange for a donation to the charity Elephants Without Borders.

Gordon Ramsay Spills on His Biggest On-Camera Disaster!

Gordon Ramsay sits down at the table on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter‘s latest issue!

The 52-year-old chef – along with fellow A-list culinary celebrities Padma Lakshmi, Roy Choi, Jon Favreau, David Chang, and Samin Nosrat – are all featured in the mag’s first-ever “20 Power Players of Food Media” feature. Here’s what they had to share:

David on the explosive uptick in food programming: “Food’s only been really analyzed in America since Anthony Bourdain wrote ‘Kitchen Confidential.’ Then maybe a few years ago, people thought there was a saturation in TV, but that’s because the shows were all too similar. Now the people actually making food have been able to convince TV that a lot remains untouched.”

Gordon on his biggest on-camera disaster: “Making chicken curry on live TV, not noticing that the burner wasn’t on. When I fed the guests, they only pretended to eat it. I had no idea it was raw.”

Padma on what she wants to see more from on food shows: “I want to see more people get down and dirty with fermentation. There are so many fermentation practices happening in various cuisines.”

Roy on what HE wants to see more of on food shows: “More mothers! Women who have raised generations; women who can cook just as proficiently as a banquet chef for The Ritz-Carlton.”

Gordon on what he wants to do next: “Food TV has really exploded, and that’s exciting to me as a producer. But I’d rather front less and create more.”

'Lion King' Easter Egg Revealed By Director Jon Favreau

There’s one major easter egg in The Lion King that fans should look out for going into the movie!

Director Jon Favreau sat down for an interview with ABC and revealed that every shot in movie is created by pixels…except for one.

“We knew we had to make it feel like a live action film as much as possible, but there’s nothing real in the movie. There’s no real sets, there’s no real animals, there’s no motion capture…there’s nothing but pixels,” Jon said. “Actually there’s one real shot. That I snuck in at one point in the movie.”

Out of the 1400 shots in the movie, Jon put in one real image from Africa, to see if fans could figure it out.

And before you see the movie this weekend, you may want to get familiar with this!

'Lion King' Director Explains Why James Earl Jones Skipped World Premiere

The world premiere of The Lion King occurred earlier this week in Los Angeles, and one member of the cast was noticeably missing.

Fans started to worry about James Earl Jones after the 88-year-old actor skipped out on the premiere of the film and was not featured in the promotional cast shoot. But according to director Jon Favreau, they have nothing to worry about.

“He’s based on the East Coast. This is something that takes a lot out of you to do,” Jon shared with USA Today. “So his participation was geared more toward his performance.”

James first voiced Mufasa in the 1994 animated film and reprised his role for the 2019 live-action remake.

“He was incredibly gracious to participate in this,” Jon continued. “I don’t know what I would have done had he not.”

The Lion King hits theaters on Friday, July 19th.
