Crazy Rich Asians has it’s eyes set on Broadway!
It was just announced on Wednesday (April 17) that Warner Bros is currently developing a musical adaptation of the film, according to Variety.
The film’s director Jon M Chu is set to return to direct the stage musical on Broadway!

Wicked director Jon M. Chu opened up about casting Ariana Grande as Glinda and the important skill that she brought to the movies.
The 30-year-old pop star is set to share the screen with Cynthia Erivo in the two-part saga, which kicks off with Part One on Thanksgiving this year.
During a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Jon reflected on casting concerns for the film adaptation and what it meant for him to find Ariana and Cynthia.

Ariana Grande is ready to bring Glinda to life!
The 30-year-old “yes, and?” singer shared a new glimpse of the character from the highly anticipated live-action Wicked adaptation on her Instagram on Thursday (January 25).
“like a handprint on my heart,” she captioned the post, referring to a line from “For Good,” which is a Glinda duet with Elphaba (played in the movie by Cynthia Erivo).

Ariana Grande is getting fans very excited!
The 30-year-old entertainer took to Instagram on Thursday (December 7) to share a series of new photos and videos of her working in the recording studio.

We just received an update on the two Wicked movies and it’s not a good one.
Fans had hoped that the films – which are scheduled to hit theaters on November 27, 2024 and November 26, 2025 in two parts – had finished filming ahead of the SAG-AFTRA strike so that post-production could begin. It’s unclear how long the actor’s strike could last, but projections say it could last months – or even until the end of 2023.

The Broadway musical Wicked is currently being made into a movie that will extend over two parts and the two films both have new release dates.
It was previously announced that Wicked Part One had changed dates from December 25, 2024 to November 27, 2024.
Director Jon M. Chu has now revealed that Wicked Part Two has a new release date as well.

The Wicked movie is coming to life!
The highly anticipated film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical is well underway, with filming taking place near Leighton Buzzard, United Kingdom.
Filming started earlier this year, and is set to continue until August 4.
Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo star in the Jon M. Chu production as Glinda the Good Witch and Elphaba, respectively.
Wicked is based on Gregory Maguire‘s 1995 novel of the same name and was first performed on Broadway in 2003.
Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum will also star.
The movie will be split into two parts, with the first arriving on November 27, 2024, and the second coming a year later in 2025.
