On Tuesday (December 2), the 55-year-old actor – best known for his roles in Scandal, The Big Bang Theory, and The West Wing – wrote an op-ed calling out Hollywood for continuing to hire the 65-year-old actor over his past alleged anti-Semitic comments.
Shonda Rhimes and the cast of Scandal celebrated the series finale of their hit ABC show on Thursday night (April 19) with a special appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Kerry and Shonda came out first, and recalled how casting her as Olivia Pope went down: “I remember you first coming in,” Shonda said on the show, turning to Kerry. “Kerry first came in, and I had been meeting like all of these actresses.”
“Everybody wanted this part,’ Kerry added. “But you came in and it was amazing!” said Shonda. ‘It was literally like two seconds in, you started talking about politics and I knew I wanted Kerry for the part.”
Shonda also reveals that, yes, she knows what that ending means, and no, she’s never telling. “I get one last thing to say is a spoiler that I get to hold onto ’til the end of my life,” Shonda said – Watch all the videos below!

Josh Malina, who played David Rosen on the hit show Scandal, is known to be the prankster in the cast and he was just the victim of a hilarious prank thanks to Jimmy Kimmel!
Katie Lowes teamed up with Jimmy to pull off a prank on Josh, which aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live after the show’s series finale.
Josh thought that he and Katie were going to visit some massive Scandal fans while they watched an episode, but what he didn’t know was that the family was actually just three actors. When they walked into the house, Josh set off a confetti canon and the elderly woman in the family appeared to have a heart attack on the couch.
While a production assistant pretended to call 911, Josh got next to “mama” and tried to comfort her while she appeared to be in distress. When the paramedics arrived, he discovered it was a prank as the paramedics were actually Jimmy and his sidekick Guillermo!

The final episode of Scandal is set to air on Thursday, April 19 at 9/8c on ABC.

Kerry Washington and the cast of Scandal step out for an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Wednesday (February 28).
The full cast of the ABC show made one last appearance on the show ahead of the series finale, which will air later this season.
The stars said that they still don’t know how the show is going to end and the final table read is happening later this week, which is when they’ll read the last script.
