Judi Dench is looking back at some harsh comments she once got from a director.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, the 87-year-old actress recalled an audition she had in the 1960s, after which an unnamed director told he she wouldn’t make it in the movie business because of her face.

Liam Neeson just hit a major milestone in his career – he’s made 100 movies!
“I can’t friggin’ believe it,” the 69-year-old actor told Parade.com in a recent interview, while promoting his actual 100th film, Memory.
Liam added, “For the first time in my life, I’m really, really proud.”
Only a handful of other actors have hit this big event in their careers, making Liam part of an elite club – and one actor has over 650 credits to his name!

Judi Dench is at the Oscars with her grandson Sam Williams, who fans think is a celebrity lookalike!
The 87-year-old actress, who is a previous Oscar winner, attended the show as a nominee at the 2022 Academy Awards on Sunday (March 27) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Judi was up for the Best Supporting Actress award for her work in Belfast, though the award went to West Side Story‘s Ariana DeBose.
Joining Judi on the carpet was Sam, who went viral on TikTok for his fun videos with his grandmother and for looking like Ed Sheeran.
Back in 2018, Sam actually got to meet Ed after one of his concerts. You can see that photo below!

The pair starred in a TV production of Henrik Ibsen‘s Ghosts back in 1987 and were thrown off set when a request for potatoes sent them into hysterics.

Tom Hiddleston and Lashana Lynch step out on the orange carpet while attending the 2022 British Academy Film Awards Gala Dinner on Friday (March 11) at The Londoner Hotel in London, England.
The British stars are celebrating ahead of this weekend’s BAFTAs ceremony, which they will both be attending. Tom is a presenter and Lashana is up for the EE Rising Star Award following her breakout role in No Time to Die.
More stars who attended the dinner included Bridgerton‘s Nicola Coughlan, Belfast‘s Judi Dench, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie‘s Max Harwood, 1917‘s George Mackay, The Serpent‘s Jenna Coleman, and The Father‘s Olivia Williams.

Caitriona Balfe and Jamie Dornan are shining in the brand new trailer for Belfast.
Written and directed by Academy Award nominee Kenneth Branagh, the film is a poignant story of love, laughter and loss in one boy’s childhood, amid the music and social tumult of the late 1960s.
Judi Dench, Ciaran Hinds, and Jude Hill also star in the movie.

Caitriona Balfe shared the sweetest hug with her young co-star Jude Hill at the premiere of Belfast during the 2021 BFI London Film Festival at The Royal Festival Hall on Tuesday (October 12) in London, England.
Also seen at the premiere were director Kenneth Branagh as well as Dame Judi Dench, Lara McDonnell, and Jamie Dornan, who brought his lovely wife to the premiere, too! Be sure to check out those photos as well.
