Ryan Reynolds Shoots Down Rumors He'll Be in 'Justice League' Snyder Cut as Green Lantern

Ryan Reynolds is responding to speculation that he will be appearing in Zack Snyder’s Justice League as Green Lantern.

You might remember that Ryan played the superhero, aka Hal Jordan, in a 2011 movie that was critically panned and a box office disappointment. One big positive is that he met his future wife Blake Lively on the movie!

A new profile about the movie in Vanity Fair says that there will be a major cameo at the end of the four hour film.

Ryan responded to the speculation that he’ll be the surprise cameo. He tweeted, “It’s not me. But what a cool pirate flag to cameo as Hal. Maybe it’s another GL? But for me, the suit stays in the closet. I mean, computer.”

Ryan is currently filming an exciting movie for Netflix.

Zack Snyder's Snyder Cut 'Justice League' Salary Revealed & It's Surprising!

Zack Snyder‘s “Snyder Cut” of Justice League is set to be released on HBO Max on March 18, 2021 and a Vanity Fair profile revealed some new details that might interest fans.

First, the director, who stepped away from the project after the tragic death of his 20-year-old daughter Autumn by suicide, never saw Joss Whedon‘s finished product.

“When we got to see what Joss actually did, it was stupefying,” a Warner Bros. executive told Vanity Fair. “The robber on the rooftop—so goofy and awful. The Russian family—so useless and pointless. Everyone knew it. It was so awkward because nobody wanted to admit what a piece of sh*t it was.”

“They came and they just said, ‘You can never see that movie,’” Zack recalled.

Zack also added, “I’m not getting paid. I didn’t want to be beholden to anyone, and it allowed me to keep my negotiating powers with these people pretty strong.”

A trailer for the highly anticipated re-cut of the 2017 film, set to hit HBO Max on March 18, arrived on Sunday (February 14).

The teaser for the upcoming feature includes more of Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and a new score from composer Junkie XL, who the director originally wanted to work with, but who was eventually replaced by Danny Elfman in the final production stages after Joss Whedon‘s takeover.

The teaser also feature more of Cyborg’s, aka Victor Stone’s, storyline, which was meant to be elaborated upon in the original.

There are also new scenes with more characters like the movie’s new supervillain Darkseid, as well as added violence and profanity, bringing the HBO Max version to an R-rating.

In the film, the greatest DC heroes came together for the first time ever on the big screen, including Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), the Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). Together, they joined forces to prevent the supervillain Steppenwolf from destroying the Earth.

Ben Affleck Says He 'Suffered' on 'Justice League' Set, But One Thing Made It Worth Doing

Ben Affleck is opening up about the one thing that was “worth every moment of suffering on Justice League.”

It’s no secret that Ben didn’t have the best experience while playing Batman and now he’s opening up about the reason why he decided to sign on for the project.

Ben played the role in 2016′s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and in 2017′s Justice League. He also did a cameo in 2016′s Suicide Squad and will have a small role in 2022′s The Flash.

“I did Batman because I wanted to do it for my kids,” Ben said in an interview with THR‘s Awards Chatter podcast. “I wanted to do something that my son would dig. I mean, my kids didn’t see Argo.”

He continued, “Zack [Snyder] wanted to do a version of the Frank Miller Dark Knight graphic novel series, which is a really good version of that. Unfortunately, there are a lot of reasons why things go the way they do in the movie business, and just because your face is on the poster doesn’t mean that you’re dictating all of those things — and even if you were, that they would go well.”

Justice League's Ray Fisher Calls Out DC Films President as a Dangerous Enabler, Won't Return as Cyborg

Ray Fisher is speaking out about his experience with an executive at DC Films, and it appears as if he’s done playing Cyborg.

In a tweet posted today (December 30), the Cyborg actor accused DC Films President Walter Hamada of being the “most dangerous kind of enabler.”

He wrote: “Walter Hamada is the most dangerous kind of enabler. He lies, and WB PR’s failed Sept. 4th hit-piece, sought to undermine the very real issues of the Justice League investigation. I will not participate in any production associated with him. A>E.”

Ray has been embroiled in a public dispute with the studios following allegations of misconduct by director Joss Whedon. He accused the director of racism and verbal abuse earlier this year.

WarnerMedia released a statement on December 11 about Ray‘s allegations, announcing the conclusion of their internal investigation.

In September, Ray‘s co-star Jason Momoa expressed support for the actor – read what he had to say.

Zack Snyder Thinks His 'Justice League' Will Be R-Rated & Could Head To Theaters

Zack Snyder is opening up about his upcoming cut of Justice League.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the 54-year-old director teased what fans can look forward to in the HBO Max four episode event, and if it will possibly head to theaters.

“Here’s one piece of information nobody knows: The movie is insane and so epic and is probably rated R — that’s one thing I think will happen, that it will be an R-rated version, for sure,” Zack revealed to the magazine. “We haven’t heard from the MPAA, but that’s my gut.”

There is apparently footage from the cut that where “Batman drops an F-bomb. Cyborg is not too happy with what’s going on with his life before he meets the Justice League, and he tends to speak his mind. And Steppenwolf is pretty much just hacking people in half.”

“So [the rating would be due to] violence and profanity, probably both,” Zack added.

In the same interview, Zack also opened up about possibility of the extended cut heading to theaters.

“I’m a huge fan and a big supporter of the cinematic experience, and we’re already talking about Justice League playing theatrically at the same time it’s coming to HBO Max,” Zack says. “So weirdly, it’s the reverse [of the trend].”

It was announced earlier this month that most of the planned Warner Bros. movies are going to HBO Max.

Many filmmakers have lashed out at the decision, calling it “disrespectful” and “makes no economic sense“.

Zack shared his opinion on the matter, as well.

“It felt like a pretty bold move and that maybe the implication wasn’t 100 percent thought out,” he shared. “I feel like there’s a lot of people panicking during COVID. I hope that, in the end, that’s what this was — some sort of knee-jerk to COVID and not some sort of greater move to disrupt the theatrical experience. I thought we were kind of already getting very close to the ideal theatrical window where you still had marketing material out there and you hadn’t forgotten about the film by the time it came out on DVD or streaming.”

Zack concludes, “I thought we were starting to hone in on that sweet spot, but this kind of throws a monkey wrench in the works.”

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will arrive on HBO Max in 2021.
