It has been a little over a year since Kip Pardue‘s misconduct scandal and he was just spotted out and about for the first time since then.

The 44-year-old Marvel’s Runaways actor was seen going surfing at the beach on Friday (August 7) in Los Angeles.

Back in October 2018, Kip was accused of sexual misconduct by his co-star Sarah Scott on the set of an indie TV show. He said that he “clearly misread the situation during a sex scene on set and have apologized to Sarah.”

Kip added in his statement, “I never intended to offend her in any way and deeply regret my actions and have learned from my behavior.”

Then in July 2019, SAG-AFTRA found Kip guilty of sexual misconduct and he was fined $6,000, though he only would have to pay half if he took an online workplace sexual harassment training module within 90 days. He could face further consequences if he’s found guilty of similar conduct within five years.

Kip Pardue has been found guilty of sexual misconduct by a disciplinary committee for SAG-AFTRA, the actors union.

The 43-year-old Marvel’s Runaways actor was accused of sexual misconduct by his co-star Sarah Scott on the set of an upcoming indie TV show.

Sarah says that Kip forced her to touch his penis during a sex scene and later masturbated in front of her in a dressing room on set. She decided not to press charges and didn’t want money from Kip, so she went to SAG-AFTRA instead.

The union found Kip “guilty of serious misconduct in violation” and he was fined $6,000. He only has to pay $3,000 if he takes an online workplace sexual harassment training module within 90 days. He could face further consequences if he’s found guilty of similar conduct within five years.

In response to the news, Kip‘s rep told the Los Angeles Times that he “never engaged in any nonconsensual behavior.”

Kip Pardue, best known for films like Remember the Titans and The Rules of Attraction, has been accused of sexual misconduct by Sarah Scott, his co-star on the television pilot Mogulettes.

Sarah says that she was filming a post-coital scene with Kip and she was lying under the covers in boy shorts and nipple covers. He became aroused and took her hand and put it on his groin. Sarah says that after they filmed the scene, Kip called her into his dressing room and he masturbated in front of her.

“I literally froze,” Sarah told the Los Angeles Times. “I said, ‘What are you doing?’”

Sarah says Kip told her, “This isn’t a #MeToo thing. I’m not your employer. It’s not like I can fire you.” While leaving the set, Sarah says she asked Kip why he masturbated in front of her and she says he responded by saying she was “just so hot.”

The incident happened this past May, months after the launch of Time’s Up and the #MeToo movement.

Kip released a statement apologizing for placing Sarah‘s hand on his penis, but he denied everything else that allegedly happened after the scene was finished.

“I clearly misread the situation during a sex scene on set and have apologized to Sarah,” Kip said in the statement. “I never intended to offend her in any way and deeply regret my actions and have learned from my behavior.”

In her article with The Times, Sarah recounts her experience of reporting the misconduct and what she went through while dealing with SAG-AFTRA and The Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund.

“I am disappointed that Kip has chosen to hide behind his actions,” she says. “Speaking out about this has been extraordinarily difficult for me, and now I understand why so many people don’t. My goal remains the same — my wish is for Kip to take full responsibility for all of his actions.”

Virginia was joined by her boyfriend, Quantico actor Graham Rogers.
