The trailer for Wonka is finally here…and we also finally have confirmation that it is indeed a Willy Wonka origin story!
Timothee Chalamet is portraying the title character in a beloved new adaptation in the fan-favorite franchise.

Emily Blunt and Meryl Streep strike a pose on the blue carpet while attending the European premiere of their anticipated film Mary Poppins Returns held at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday (December 12) in London, England.
The 35-year-old actress and Meryl, 69, were joined at the event by their co-stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Emily Mortimer, Colin Firth, Ben Whishaw, Chris O’Dowd, Tarik Frimpong, Jim Norton, Jeremy Swift, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and Joel Dawson.
Also in attendance at the big premiere was Emily‘s husband Alessandro Nivola and their daughter May Rose Nivola, Game of Thrones‘ Maisie Williams, Colin’s wife Livia Firth, as well as the film’s producer Marc Platt, screenwriter John DeLuca and director Rob Marshall.

Emily Mortimer and Ben Whishaw meet up on the red carpet at the premiere of their new movie Mary Poppins Returns on Thursday (November 29) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The actors play the grown-up versions of siblings Jane and Michael Banks. In the sequel, Michael is a widow and Jane is helping him raise his three kids.
Pixie Davies and Joel Dawson, two of the young actors who play his children, walked the red carpet.
Also in attendance were cast members Kobna Holdbrook-Smith and Jeremy Swift, who play collection agents working for the bank trying to possess the Banks family home.
