Music mogul L.A. Reid has been accused of sexual assault and retaliatory behavior by a former executive who worked with him at Arista.
The 67-year-old Grammy winning producer and executive was sued by Drew Dixon on Wednesday (November 8) in New York City.
She alleges that L.A. retaliated after she rebuffed two instances of assault before she left the company in 2002. She shared additional details in an interview and within court documents.

Jennifer Lopez is leaving her label!
The 49-year-old “Dinero” entertainer departed from Epic Records, where L.A. Reid was formerly chairman and CEO, and signed with L.A.‘s Hitco imprint, according to Billboard on Wednesday (May 29).
Jennifer will stay signed to Sony Music Latin for her Spanish language music.
This is a continuation of their long-running partnership: she was signed to Island Def Jam while L.A. was there as chairman in 2011, then moved over to Epic in 2016 when L.A. moved over to the label. He then left Epic Records amid a sexual harassment claim and launched Hitco in 2018.
Her latest single “Medicine,” featuring French Montana, is her first release under Hitco.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez meet up with music executive L.A. Reid and his wife Erica at his record company HITCO’s Night Celebrating the 2019 Grammys on Friday (February 8) at a private residence in Los Angeles.
Some more stars who stepped out for the event included Diplo, Nichole Scherzinger, and Tinashe.
HITCO entertainment record label’s artist Delacey, Dinah Jane, Yella Beezy, and The Bonfyre were all in attendance at the event, which was sponsored by Palms Casino Resort & Spa.

Last week, CEO of Sony Music Entertainment’s Epic Records, L.A. Reid, abruptly exited the job – and now it’s being revealed why.
The 60-year-old music executive is being accused of “unlawful harassment of an employee” by a former female assistant. None of the claims by the female employee have been verified.
The company investigated this claim after it was made, Billboard reports. The female assistant’s attorney wrote a letter where she alleges inappropriate remarks about her appearance and clothing. The letter also threatened legal action if a settlement was not reached. It’s unclear if Sony was able to confirm the letter’s contents. Apparently, sources say the letter isn’t totally accurate.
Chris Martin joins his buddy Elvis Duran to honor him with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday (March 2) in Hollywood.
The 52-year-old radio personality, who hosts the Elvis Duran and Morning Show on NYC’s Z100, received support from Chris and L.A. Reid at the event.
“I don’t know if this is typical of people in radio who’ve been around as long as I have, but I really had no ambitions,” Elvis told Variety about receiving the honor. “Radio was always a fun, geeky thing to be a fan of – the history of radio, where it is, and where it’s going – but it was really also a pretty easy job. You just show up for four hours a day, play a lot of music, scream over the intros, then go home. And they pay you a decent amount of money sometimes. So it was the perfect job for someone with zero ambition.”
