Leslie David Baker has some bad news for fans who have been waiting for an update on his planned The Office spinoff.
If you were unaware, the actor, who played Stanley Hudson in the original hit series, launched a Kickstarter in 2020 to finance a series based on his character.
A series of delays slowed down the project and held it up. On Tuesday (August 1), he took to social media to provide an update.

Britney Spears‘ husband Sam Asghari landed his next acting role, and it’s a big one!
The 29-year-old is set to share the screen with the likes of Awkwafina, Simu Liu and John Cena in Prime Video’s Grand Death Lotto.
The thriller is directed by Paul Feig and is set in the not-so-distant future where people compete in a deadly Grand Lottery. To claim the prize, a winner needs to survive the night. If they’re killed before then, their murderer takes home the winnings.

John Travolta and his daughter Ella are teaming up for a new commercial airing during the 2021 Super Bowl!
The 66-year-old actor and his 20-year-old daughter are among the many stars appearing in the commercial for Scotts Miracle-Gro. Other stars in the commercial include Martha Stewart, The Office‘s Leslie David Baker, The Mandalorian‘s Carl Weathers, NASCAR driver Kyle Busch, and fitness instructor Emma Lovewell.
In the commercial, Ella teaches John how to work the camera on his phone before they start doing the iconic Grease dance together. The two dance while Surfaces‘ song “Sunday Best” plays in the background.
From over in her own yard, Martha watches the two dance before saying, “He’s still got it.”
The Scotts Miracle-Gro will officially be airing during the Super Bowl this Sunday, February 7th – make sure to tune in!
A lot of new facts about The Office have been revealed during the pandemic – like just who has that green teapot prop and who actually almost played Dunder Mifflin boss Michael Scott.
Now, Leslie David Baker, is petitioning to get a spinoff of the popular series focused on his character, Stanley Hudson.
If you don’t know, Stanley was one of the many Dunder Mifflin sales reps on the series that also starred John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson and Jenna Fischer, among others.
On his Kickstarter campaign, Leslie shared the plot for the potential spinoff, titled Uncle Stan.
Here’s the summary: “Uncle Stan finds Stanley in Florida, happily retired from Dunder Miffin and spending his days carving wood, enjoying the white sand beaches, and dancing to old disco.
Everything changes when he receives a call from his nephew Lucky in L.A., asking for help with his two kids and running his motorcycle/flower shop. With his business failing, his kids growing up without enough attention, and on the brink of losing his patience with the cast of characters he has working in the shop, Lucky is going to need all the help he can get from no-nonsense Uncle Stan.

Jason Isaacs and Brit Marling buddy up on the red carpet at the premiere of The OA: Part II on Tuesday night (March 19) at the LACMA in Los Angeles.
The co-stars were joined at the premiere of the second season of their hit show by fellow cast mates Kinglsey Ben-Adir, Ian Alexander, Phyllis Smith, Brandon Perea, Chloe Levine, Brendan Meyer, and Zoey Todorovsky along with show co-creator Zal Batmanglij.
Also stepping out for the premiere, was Phyllis‘ former The Office co-star Leslie David Baker.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Brit stars as Prairie Johnson, a blind woman who went missing for seven years and returns home with her sight restored.
