Lori Loughlin's Husband Mossimo Giannulli Gets Early Release from Prison

Mossimo Giannulli has been released from federal prison after serving four months of his five-month sentence for his role in the college admissions scandal.

The 57-year-old fashion designer is the husband of Full House actress Lori Loughlin, who also served prison time.

Mossimo was moved from the prison to the Long Beach Residential Reentry Management halfway house. A source told Us Weekly, “He was released three weeks earlier than planned. It’s Lori’s Easter surprise.”

The couple submitted guilty pleas in May 2020 after previously saying they were innocent. They were charged for paying $500,000 in bribes to ensure that their daughters were admitted to the University of Southern California.

Mossimo‘s son Gianni says that his father was forced into solitary confinement at the beginning of his sentence and it was having a toll on his mental health. The solitary period was reportedly due to COVID-19 precautions and he was eventually moved to a minimum-security camp.

Lori was spotted last month for the first time since being released from prison.

Lori Loughlin Spotted for First Time Since Being Released From Prison

Lori Loughlin is working on her court-mandated community service hours.

The 56-year-old Full House actress was photographed doing some volunteer work with the Project Angel Food on Tuesday afternoon (March 2) in Los Angeles.

In the photos obtained by Page Six, Lori tried to keep a low profile wearing sunglasses along with a baseball hat and face mask that had “Project Angel Food” written on them.

Lori spent the afternoon handing out meals with the organization, which prepares and delivers food to those impacted by life-threatening illnesses.

This is the first time Lori has been spotted out since being released from prison back in December, where she served her two-month sentence after being convicted in the college admissions scandal.

After pleading guilty in the case back in May, Lori agreed to serve to months in prison, pay a $150,000 fine, and perform 100 hours of community service. Along with completing the prison sentence, she has also paid off the fine.

Just a few weeks ago, the courts approved that Lori could travel again and they gave her back her passport.

Lori‘s husband Mossimo Giannulli was sentenced to five months in prison for his involvement in the scandal, and surrendered himself in mid-November.

If you missed it, Netflix recently released the trailer for their upcoming documentary about the college admissions scandal.
