Fans Want Lucy Lawless To Take Over Role of Cara Dune After Gina Carano's Firing

Hours after it was announced that Gina Carano would no longer be part of The Mandalorian and Star Wars franchise, fans have picked their favorite to take over her role – Lucy Lawless.

Carasynthia “Cara” Dune is a former Rebel shock trooper turned mercenary in the popular Disney+ series, who eventually becomes a marshal for the New Republic.

While Gina originated the part, fans on social media are adamant that Lucy would be an even better actor for the role.

Star Wars fans are also suggesting that the franchise write an entirely new character just for Lucy as well.

“I’m 100% on board with @RealLucyLawless joining The SWU! She would be amazing!” one fan wrote in support of the suggestion. “I think I’d rather her be her own new character, though. Let Cara Dune just fade from existence. How about it @Jon_Favreau and @dave_filoni?

Another fan added, “The only acceptable answer to who should now play Cara Dune is Lucy Lawless.”

'Xena' Actress Lucy Lawless Puts 'Hercules' Actor Kevin Sorbo on Blast for Antifa Capitol Conspiracy

Xena is taking on Hercules.

Xena: Warrior Princess actress Lucy Lawless called out former costar Kevin Sorbo, who played Hercules in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and spinoff Xena, for supporting the baseless claim that “leftist agitators” broke into the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday (January 6).

On Twitter, Kevin retweeted an unverified conspiracy theory that Antifa was to blame, and not Donald Trump supporters. The photo included was labeled by Twitter as manipulated media.

“Do these look like Trump supporters? Or Leftist agitators disguised as Trump supporters,” the tweet read.

“They don’t look like patriots to me,” Kevin added.

Fact-checkers have since established that there is no evidence that Antifa activists were part of the group that stormed the Capitol.

“No, Peanut. They are not Patriots. They are your flying monkeys, homegrown terrorists, QAnon actors. They are the douchebags that go out and do the evil bidding of people like you who like to wind them up like toys and let them do their worst,” Lucy snapped back.

Trump finally conceded after losing the election to Joe Biden following the violence at the U.S. Capitol.
