The concept of the Song of the Summer has become omnipresent in recent years, but Billboard has been tracking the data since 1958.

As the weather heats up outside, many of our favorite artists begin to churn out bops and bangers that rocket up the charts. Each year, only one of them can become the defining anthem of the summer.

Billboard unveiled the Song of the Summer for 2023 on Tuesday (September 5). This year Morgan Wallen‘s “Last Night” took the top spot.

In honor of the announcement, we looked back on Billboard’s charts to determine what song dominated the charts each summer from 2003 until 2023. We even noted the bop that came in second place each year! In the case of 2023, we rounded up the Top 5.

While looking back, we noticed that only three artists in the last 21 years were able to claim the Song of the Summer more than once. Can you guess who?

Anitta has an animated reaction during a press conference for the 2022 Latin GRAMMY Awards held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on Tuesday (November 15) in Las Vegas.

The 29-year-old singer, who was joined by Luis Fonsi, Laura Pausini, and Thalia, is up for two awards at the show, which will take place later this week on Thursday, November 17.

During the conference, Anitta also learned that she was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2023 Grammys!

Luis Fonsi breaks out into song while dining out in Mykonos, Greece over the weekend.

The 44-year-old Puerto Rican singer looked to be put on the spot at first, but then got into it when the restaurant he and wife Agueda Lopez were dining at put his song, “Despacito” on the sound system.

According to GreekReporter.com, the restaurant and other customers really gave Luis no choice but to grab the mic and put on the impromptu performance.

After his performance, Luis received a kiss from Agueda and some free drinks.

Just a day after, Luis and Agueda were spotted enjoying the sunshine and sand with a trip to the local beach.

Luis is currently on his Noche Perfecta World Tour, and his next concert will take place tonight, August 18 in Puerto De Santa Maria in Spain.

The Encanto hit song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” got a superstar remix at the 2022 Academy Awards on Sunday (March 27) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

The hit Disney movie Encanto will be getting two live performances at the 2022 Oscars!

Sebastian Yatra will be performing the song “Dos Oruguitas,” which is up for Best Original Song. It was also just confirmed that the five members of the film’s cast, along with three music superstars, will be performing the hit song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.”

This will mark the first-ever live performance of the song, which was written by Oscar nominee Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The Italian fashion brand hosted their Alta Sartoria Fashion Show and dinner on Monday (August 30) in Venice, Italy.

Kourtney Kardashian and boyfriend Travis Barker coordinated in black outfits as they joined her mom Kris Jenner and close friends Simon Huck and his fiance Phil Riportella at the event.

Sean “Diddy” Combs also attended the event alongside his daughters, Chance, 15, and 14-year-old twins D’Lila and Jessie.

At the Dolce & Gabbana event held earlier in the day, this Oscar-winning entertainer took to the stage for a performance!
