'Magnum P.I.' Moves to Fall 2023 NBC Schedule - See the New Lineup!

Magnum P.I. is getting moved around!

The second half of the NBC series’ final season now has a new time and date premiere amid the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

The show’s back half of a 20-episode order, as well as Transplant will now air into the fall season as the network reshuffles their lineup amid stalled contract negotiations and productions awaiting the strikes to end.

NBC decided not to renew the series for a sixth season, and will instead end with the second part of season 5.

The three Chicago shows and two Law & Order dramas announced in May won’t debut in the fall as writers and actors strike against studios and streamers while seeking better contracts.

Jay Hernandez and Perdita Weeks team up to unveil the brand new trailer for Magnum P.I.‘s upcoming season on NBC!

The two stars joined showrunner Eric Guggenheim at the NBCUniversal Press Tour over the weekend to hype up the returning show, which hopped to NBC last year after it was previously cancelled by CBS.

During the panel, Eric teased that this “season is sexier. It is more romantic, more emotional.”

Jay Hernandez Thanks Fans After 'Magnum P.I.' Gets Picked Up By NBC

Jay Hernandez is giving a shout out to Magnum P.I. fans after the show was saved from cancellation.

If you missed it, the action series was axed by CBS in the last round of cancellations a few months ago. However, NBC picked up the series and issued a two-season order for it.

Now, Jay, as well as co-stars Perdita Weeks, Stephen Hill and Zachary Knighton, are sharing their thanks to fans for sticking with them.
