The critically acclaimed play Fat Ham won over audiences on Broadway last year and now the show is making its L.A. debut at the Geffen Playhouse.

Nearly the entire original cast has reunited to perform the play for Los Angeles audiences.

Here’s the synopsis: “Meet Juicy, a young, queer Black man with a Shakespearean-sized dilemma. When the ghost of his dead father shows up at his family’s BBQ wedding reception demanding his murder be avenged, does the poetic and sensitive Juicy have it in him to do the deed, or will he ‘to thine own self be true?’”

Fat Ham stars Marcel Spears as Juicy, Nikki Crawford as Tedra, Chris Herbie Holland as Tio, Billy Eugene Jones as Rev/Pap, Adrianna Mitchell as Opal, Benja Kay Thomas as Rabby, and Matthew Elijah Webb as Larry.

The play was written by James Ijames and directed by Sideeq Heard with original direction by Saheem Ali. Fat Ham is running at the Geffen Playhouse through April 28!

The Neighborhood is heading back to our TVs this month!

The CBS television series is officially returning for Season 6, and there are several cast members expected to return for the sixth season.

CBS has announced that the show returns on Monday (February 12) at 8 p.m. ET.

The show centers around a friendly guy from the Midwest, who tries to fit in in a tough L.A. neighborhood.

CBS just confirmed their Winter 2024 schedule, and revealed that the show returns on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 8 p.m. ET.

Annaleigh Ashford just won one of the most prestigious awards in the Broadway community!

The Tony-winning actress picked up the Distinguished Performance Award during the 2023 Drama League Awards on Friday afternoon (May 19) at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City.

Annaleigh beat out 46 other nominees to be the sole performer to be recognized by the organization this year. She won the award for her work as Mrs. Lovett in the Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd.

Some Like It Hot won the award for Outstanding Production of a Musical, Into the Woods won Outstanding Revival of a Musical, Leopoldstadt won Outstanding Production of a Play, and A Doll’s House won Outstanding Revival of a Play.

The Golden Globe winner was honored with Best Female Performance for her role in Fox’s 9-1-1.

Angela Bassett was joined at the event by This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown and his wife, Ryan Michelle Bathe, Ryan Murphy, and director and cast of When They See Us – Ava DuVernay, Aunjanue Ellis, Asante Blackk, Niecy Nash, Jharrel Jerome, Marsha Stephanie Blake, and writer Attica Locke.

Also in attendance was the cast of The Neighborhood Tichina Arnold, Marcel Spears, Max Greenfield, Cedric the Entertainer and Beth Behrs.

AAFCA TV Honors, a new awards fete celebrating outstanding achievement in television. The Neighborhood won Best Comedy, Sterling took home Best Performance Male, Ryan received AAFCA TV Honors ICON Award and When They See Us won Best Limited Series, Best Ensemble and Best Writing.

Lea Michele fans herself off during super hot day on set of her new show The Mayor on Tuesday afternoon (October 24) in Los Angeles.

The 31-year-old actress looked pretty in a black and white dress as she spent the day filming with her co-star Marcel Spears.

Lea Michele arrives in style for a screening of her new show The Mayor on Wednesday night (September 27) at the London Hotel in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 31-year-old actress looked cool in a silver metallic dress as she was joined at the event by her co-stars Brandon Michael Hall, Yvette Nicole Brown, Marcel Spears, Bernard David Jones along with the show’s creator Jeremy Bronson.
