'Poor Things' Stars Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef & Director Yorgos Lanthimos Arrive in Style at Oscars 2024

The stars of Poor Things have arrived at the 2024 Academy Awards!

Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, and director Yorgos Lanthimos walked the red carpet prior to the awards show on Sunday (March 10) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Willem was joined by his wife Giada Colagrande, while Mark was accompanied by his wife Sunrise Coigney.

Mark and Ramy wore red pins to call for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war.

If you didn’t know, Poor Things is nominated for 11 Oscars, including the award for Best Picture!

Mark is also up for Best Supporting Actor, and Yorgos is nominated for Best Director.

Stars Wearing Red Ceasefire Pins at Oscars 2024

Stars are sharing their support for a ceasefire in Gaza at the 2024 Oscars on Sunday (March 10) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Several celebrities were seen wearing bright red circle pins designed by Artists4Ceasefire, which are representing a call for aid to the area and the release of “all hostages.”

“The pin symbolizes collective support for an immediate and permanent cease-fire, the release of all of the hostages and for the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza,” Artists4Ceasefire said in a news release, via NYT. “Compassion must prevail,” the release continued.

On the 2024 Grammys red carpet, Boygenius members Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker wore the same red pins.

Many celebrities previously signed a letter addressed to President Joe Biden asking him to call for a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict.

Mark Ruffalo Reveals If He'd Return to Marvel, Why a Standalone Hulk Movie Likely Won't Happen, & Which Director Allegedly Wouldn't Work With Him

Mark Ruffalo is opening up in his new interview.

Specifically, the 56-year-old Poor Things star was asked about his future involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during his GQ Hype cover story. Mark has portrayed the Hulk in numerous films, and was asked if he’d return. He also gave some insight into why his character had been used sparingly in the past. In addition, Mark relayed a conversation he had with a fellow actor, who revealed one director who likely wouldn’t work with him anymore due to his involvement with Marvel.
