The Great Artist is a new short film that is up for awards consideration this year and we caught up with the film’s star Matthew Postlethwaite to learn more about him!
The 29-year-old actor is best known for his work as Nipper on the BBC series Peaky Blinders.
Matthew wrote and produced The Great Artist with his creative partner Sunny Vachher. Here’s the film’s synopsis: “A gifted artist finds himself in a broken balance between creating world class art and the all too silent struggle of self care as his life begins to unravel because of his Dissociative Identity Disorder.”
The Great Artist is eligible for Best Live Action Short Film at the upcoming Oscars and the film’s original song “Brave” recently won the award for Original Song in a Short Film at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.
