After denying romance rumors, pals Martin Short and Meryl Streep grabbed dinner together this week!

The 73-year-old Only Murders in the Building actor and 74-year-old Oscar winner dropped by Giorgio Baldi for dinner on Wednesday (February 21) in Santa Monica, Calif. They exited the restaurant together after their meal, where they were photographed smiling.

After they were seen hanging out at the Golden Globes last month, fans thought they might be dating, but Martin‘s rep denied the rumors.

In October of 2023, it was revealed that Meryl and her husband Don Gummer had been separated for 6 years. They have four children.

Martin‘s wife Nancy tragically passed away at the age of 58 back in 2010. She had been battling ovarian cancer.

It was confirmed a few weeks ago that Meryl would be returning for season four of Only Murders in the Building!

After joining the cast of the hit Hulu series alongside Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short for the show’s third season, it was confirmed that she’d be back in action as Loretta Durkin when Only Murders in the Building returns for a fourth season.

Meryl Streep is reuniting with her former co-stars in honor of a very special anniversary!

The 74-year-old actress posed for photos with former co-stars Kevin Kline and Peter MacNicol at the 40th anniversary screening of their movie Sophie’s Choice on Tuesday night (February 6) held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

Released in December 1982, he movie follows Stingo (MacNicol), a young writer, who moves to Brooklyn in 1947 to begin work on his first novel. As he becomes friendly with Sophie (Streep) and her lover Nathan (Kline), he learns that Sophie is a Holocaust survivor. Flashbacks reveal her harrowing story, from pre-war prosperity to Auschwitz. In the present, Sophie and Nathan’s relationship increasingly unravels as Stingo grows closer to Sophie and Nathan’s fragile mental state becomes ever more apparent.

Sophie’s Choice was nominated for five Academy Awards with Meryl winning Best Actress.

Meryl Streep arrived late to the 2024 Grammys, but her entrance received huge applause and it didn’t phase host Trevor Noah one bit!

The 74-year-old nominee, who ran in to sit with her son-in-law and fellow nominee Mark Ronson and her daughter Grace Gummer, was running late and crashed Trevor‘s monologue. You can see photos of Mark and Grace in the gallery below.

Meryl ran in and apologized, which had Trevor responding, “This moment right here. Do you know what this means? The Grammys is gonna win an Oscar. I don’t know how. I want to thank both Academys. Thank you so much.”

Meryl was nominated for the Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording award for her work narrating “Big Tree,” but lost to Michelle Obama. Check out the full Grammys winners list, updating live throughout the night.

The legendary music mogul hosted the Pre-GRAMMY Gala & GRAMMY Salute to Industry Icons on Saturday night (February 3) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Some of the celebs who walked the red carpet included Ice Spice, Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter, Megan Thee Stallion, and Lana Del Rey.

Legendary stars like Meryl Streep, Cher, Tom Hanks, and more were all there. It was a family affair for Meryl, whose son-in-law Mark Ronson is nominated for several awards at the Grammys this year. He was joined by wife Grace Gummer.

Martin Short is addressing all of the rumors about him and Meryl Streep.

Earlier this month, fans first started to speculate that the 73-year-old actor and the 74-year-old Oscar-winning actress might be dating after they were seen looking rather cozy together at the 2024 Golden Globes.

During a recent appearance on on Bill Maher‘s Club Random podcast Martin responded to the dating rumors after the host jokingly called him and Meryl a “power couple.”

There were so many stars in attendance at the 2024 AFI Awards Luncheon, celebrating the best movies and television shows of 2023.

The casts of Barbie, The Last of Us, and more were all there to honor their projects on Friday afternoon (January 12) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The AFI Awards honorees include 10 outstanding motion pictures and 10 outstanding TV programs deemed culturally and artistically representative of this year’s most significant achievements in the art of the moving image.

Stars like Meryl Streep, Selena Gomez, Natalie Portman, Reese Witherspoon, Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Robert Downey Jr., Cillian Murphy, and many more all attended the event this year.
