Avril Lavigne opened up about love amid continued interest in her love life.

The 38-year-old “Complicated” hitmaker called off an engagement with fellow musician Mod Sun back in February. She was linked to Tyga shortly thereafter, though reports suggested that they called off their relationship in June.

It is currently unclear where she and Tyga stand romantically.

During a recent interview, she was asked why love had to be “so complicated.” Her response revealed her thoughts on the topic.

The two music stars got engaged back in April 2022 and now they have ended their engagement, according to a new report.

Avril previously revealed that the two met during a songwriting session after she was newly out of a relationship, and they instantly hit it off. By February of 2021, dating rumors started to swirl after they were seen together in public. They confirmed their relationship by holding hands and kissing in public by Valentine’s Day.

Mod Sun just released his fifth studio album and we caught up with him to learn some fun facts to fans might not already know!

The 35-year-old entertainer, whose real name is Derek Ryan Smith, just dropped the album God Save The Teen and you can listen now wherever you stream music.
