How to Stream Taylor Swift's 'Tortured Poets Department' Album for Free, Plus Download Links Available

The Tortured Poets Department has finally arrived and you can stream Taylor Swift‘s new album for free right here.

This is Taylor‘s 11th studio album and she shocked fans when she announced it during a Grammy Award acceptance speech back in February.

When the song titles were unveiled, Taylor‘s fans immediately came up with theories about the meanings behind each track on the album. Now that the album is officially out, we’re sure there will be even more theories about what each song means.

The album appears to be a breakup record with references to her splits from recent ex-boyfriends Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy.

“Fortnight” featuring Post Malone, which is the first track on the album, is also going to be the first single. The music video drops at 8pm ET on Friday (April 19), so stay tuned!

Taylor Swift's Famous Friends Reveal Their Favorite of Her Eras (Everyone Has a Different Choice!)

Taylor Swift‘s famous friends are some of her biggest fans, and they never hesitate to sing her praises.

When the 34-year-old “Shake It Off” pop titan was named Apple Music’s Artist of the Year a few months ago, some of her friends spoke to the platform and revealed which of her iconic eras speaks to them the most.

Some of them, like Selena Gomez and Camila Cabello, simply hyped up their pal’s artistry.

“I think it’s pretty obvious why Taylor is the artist of the year. She has done so much for her community and fans,” Selena said about her bestie at the time.

Camila described Taylor‘s albums as “poetry” and said that she had been “the soundtrack to me and my friends’ lives.” Gracie Abrams simply said that she “makes magic.”

Others got more specific about which era spoke to them the most. Unsurprisingly, it was a tough call for many of them to make, and none of them were in agreement!

21 Taylor Swift Songs About Joe Alwyn: Swifties Think These Tracks Tell Their Love Story From Start to Finish

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn‘s relationship is in the news again ahead of the release of the singer’s new album The Tortured Poets Department.

Like any other accomplished songwriter and artist, Taylor pulls inspiration from her personal life sometimes. That’s particularly the case when she’s in love.

So it shouldn’t be surprising that she’s sung quite a bit about the former couple’s relationship.

The 34-year-old “Enchanted” singer started dating the 33-year-old actor in 2016 – before the release of her album Reputation. They were an item for over six years before splitting up in April 2023.

In the time they were together, Taylor released five albums. Many of them contain love songs that Swifties believe document her relationship with Joe. Some of them were even written alongside her partner.

While teasing the new album earlier this month, Taylor created five playlists of her music for Apple Music. Each one represents a different stage of heartbreak: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance.

Fans couldn’t help noticing that some of the songs believe to be about Joe landed in interesting spots on the mixes. For instance, many of them landed on the Denial playlist, which Taylor said was about “getting so caught up in the idea of something that you have a hard time seeing the red flags.”

If you needed a refresher, we pulled together all of those songs to document their relationship in music from start to finish.
