The 43-year-old actress, who played Dr. Helen Sharpe (one half of the couple, Sharpwin) on the show, announced she’d be leaving the series before production on season five started.

NBC has pulled one episode of New Amsterdam that was slated to air early next month.
According to multiple reports, the network has decided against the episode that was focused on a deadly flu pandemic in NYC.
The episode was supposed to air at the start of April, but will no be running repeats for the next two weeks.
Then, on April 14, New Amsterdam will air its’ season finale, which was the episode shot just before TV production was shutdown.
The pulled episode is expected to air at a later date on NBC.

The network announced a rare three-season pickup for the medical drama during the Television Critics Association panel on Saturday morning (January 11).
New Amsterdam is currently in its second season and it is now guaranteed to run through the 2022-23 broadcast season, which will be its fifth season.
Ryan Eggold stars in the series alongside Janet Montgomery and Freema Agyeman.
New Amsterdam is viewed by an average of 9.8 million total viewers each week when seven days of DVR viewing is included.
