Kristin Chenoweth, Josh Groban & More Pay Tribute to Tony Bennett at Jazz at Lincoln Center Gala

Kristin Chenoweth and Josh Groban joined forces this week to pay tribute to the late and great Tony Bennett.

The music stars performed at the Jazz at Lincoln Center Gala: Celebrating Tony Bennett on Wednesday night (April 17) at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.

The evening also featured performances from Broadway stars like Bernadette Peters, Norm Lewis, Jared Grimes, and Adriane Lenox, with appearances from Gayle King and more.

Kristin was also joined at the event by her husband Josh Bryant. Earlier in the week, she hosted a one-night-only benefit concert for the Roundabout Theatre Company, where she paid tribute to late artistic director Todd Haimes.

This summer, you can catch Kristin in the pre-Broadway run of her upcoming musical The Queen of Versailles. It will premiere in Boston!

Katie Holmes, Alan Cumming, Rose Byrne, & More Join Broadway's Best at Roundabout Theatre Gala

Stars like Katie Holmes, Alan Cumming, and Rose Byrne are all joining Broadway’s best talent in supporting the Roundabout Theatre Company!

The three stars – who have all starred on Broadway themselves – stepped out for the 2024 Roundabout Theatre Company Gala on Monday night (March 4) at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City.

The event honored director Kenny Leon with the Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre and The Rudin Family with the Ovation Award for Excellence in Philanthropy. These awards are given to those who have made an indelible impact on both theatre and Roundabout.

Oscar winner Ariana DeBose gave a special concert performance at the gala.

Broadway's Biggest Stars Honor the Late Stephen Sondheim at Hollywood Bowl Concert - Full Set List Revealed!

Six of Broadway’s biggest stars came together to pay tribute to the late great Stephen Sondheim during a tribute concert at the Hollywood Bowl!

Sutton Foster, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Patti LuPone, Skylar Astin, Sierra Boggess, and Norm Lewis performed the composer’s greatest hits and some deep cuts during Everybody Rise! A Sondheim Celebration on Sunday night (July 30) in Los Angeles.

The show was packed with 24 of Sondheim‘s best songs, including a song that was even cut from one of his musicals. The concert program was curated by Robert Longbottom and Kevin Stites and conducted by Stites.

The shows represented during the concert included Into the Woods, Company, Sunday in the Park With George, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, Follies, Merrily We Roll Along, Anyone Can Whistle, Saturday Night, and Assassins.

Patti stole the show with her renditions of “Being Alive” and “The Ladies Who Lunch,” both from the show Company. She won a Tony Award last year for her performance as Joanne.

The Sunday evening performance fittingly ended with all six stars coming together for a powerful rendition of “Sunday” from Sunday in the Park with George.

Kelli O'Hara Joins Fellow Broadway Legends for the In Memoriam Tribute at Tony Awards 2020 (Video)

There was an incredible In Memoriam tribute at the 2020 Tony Awards.

Broadway legends like Kelli O’Hara, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Norm Lewis, Bernadette Peters, and Robbie Fairchild all participated in the tribute on Sunday (September 26) at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City.

Bernadette kicked things off by giving a speech to help Broadway say goodbye to those we’ve lost over the past year and a half. Robbie then gave a dance performance which was followed by Brian performing “The Impossible Dream” from Man of La Mancha. Kelli and Norm ended the segment with a stunning performance of “Somewhere” from West Side Story.

Broadway Stars Come Together in Times Square, Shutdown to Extend to Mid-2021

So many great Broadway stars came together in New York City this week to film a performance to give people hope for the return of live theater!

Bernadette Peters and Andrew Rannells were among the stars who participated in NYCNext’s A Moment for Broadway event on Wednesday (October 7) in NYC’s Times Square.

Also in attendance were Gavin Creel, Telly Leung, Carolee Carmello, Norm Lewis, Javier Munoz, Joel Grey, Eden Espinosa, Sierra Boggess, Kate Baldwin, Stark Sands, Jennifer Damiano, Ari’el Stachel, Andrea Burns, among others.

Some unfortunate news was just revealed about Broadway.

NBC New York is reporting that the Broadway League is going to announce on Friday that Broadway will not return until May 30, 2021, at the earliest.

Broadway shows have been shut down since March 13, 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The shutdown was supposed to end in January 2021, but now will be extended as the pandemic is still not under control and it’s not safe for thousands of people to sit in an indoor theater together.

The productions that come back to Broadway will return across a series of rolling dates.

Sebastian Stan & Tom Hiddleston Support Fellow Marvel Star Jake Gyllenhaal at Broadway Opening!

Sebastian Stan and Tom Hiddleston walk the red carpet at the opening night performance of the Broadway play Sea Wall/A Life on Thursday (August 8) at the Hudson Theatre in New York City.

The guys were at the event to support their fellow Marvel star Jake Gyllenhaal. He just played the character Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Tom was joined at the show by his co-stars from the upcoming Broadway production of BetrayalCharlie Cox and Zawe Ashton.

Other stars in attendance include Jake‘s former Sunday in the Park with George co-star Annaleigh Ashford, Kate Walsh, John Mulaney, Margarita Levieva, designer Zac Posen, Broadway star Norm Lewis, and producer Jordan Roth.

Get to Know Norm Lewis, Caiaphas in 'Jesus Christ Superstar Live'

Norm Lewis is currently playing the role of Caiaphas in the NBC production of Jesus Christ Superstar Live and here’s what you should know about the actor!

The 54-year-old Tony-nominated actor made his Broadway debut in 1993 in The Who’s Tommy and went on to star in shows such as Miss Saigon, Side Show, Chicago, Les Miserables, The Little Mermaid, Porgy and Bess, The Phantom of the Opera, and Sweeney Todd.

Norm most recently starred on Broadway in the revival of Once On This Island, which will likely sweep at the Tonys this year.

On television, you have seen Norm as Senator Edison Davis on Scandal.

In Jesus Christ Superstar, Norm‘s character is the priest who organizes a plot to kill Jesus.
