Ariana DeBose hugs Judith Light on the red carpet at the 2022 GLAAD Media Awards at The Hilton Midtown on Friday night (May 6) in New York City.

The two actresses were joined by so many stars at the event, including fellow honoree Wilson Cruz.

Dove Cameron, Laverne Cox, a blonde Kat Graham, Good Trouble‘s Sherry Cola, Anthony Rapp, Cynthia Nixon, Nyle DiMarco, Tommy Dorfman, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Amber Tamblyn, Braunwyn Windham Burke, Peppermint, Kandi Burruss, Miss Fame, Trinity The Tuck, Yvie Oddly, and Jackie Cox all joined host Cody Rigsby, and new White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for the event.

Judith received GLAAD’s Excellence in Media Award presented by Ariana, and Wilson received the Vito Russo Award.

The event also featured special performances from Dove, and Michael R. Jackson.

In addition to celebrating the award recipients, the ceremony spotlighted pressing issues affecting the LGBTQ community, including anti-trans youth legislation, the importance of centering stories of people living with HIV, passage of the Equality Act, and registration of LGBTQ voters in the upcoming midterm elections.

FYI: Tommy wore a Valentino dress. Ariana wore a custom Jason Wu look with Santoni shoes. Dove is wearing an Ashlyn gown for her performance.

Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington are honoring the iconic Rita Moreno!

Eva, 46, and Kerry, 44, honored the 89-year-old Oscar winner at ELLE’s 27th Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration held at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Tuesday (October 19) in Los Angeles.

Other stars in attendance included Demi Moore, Jurnee Smollett, model/actor Nyle DiMarco, screenwriter/producer Lena Waithe, The White Lotus actress Alexandra Daddario, and Fast & Furious actress Jordana Brewster.

Nyle DiMarco has a new TV show in the works!

The 31-year-old model has teamed up with Spectrum Originals and Daniel Dae Kim‘s 3AD production company to develop a scripted comedy series based on his life.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nyle will star in the comedy, “which is currently in development, as the potential series centers on his experiences as a charismatic, street-smart deaf man in modern times. Potential episodes will offer funny, character-based storytelling designed to provide a deeper perspective on the experiences of the deaf and hard of hearing communities in America.”

Nyle will also serve as an executive producer on the series.

Nyle first rose to fame back in 2015 after winning America’s Next Top Model. He then took home the mirror ball trophy in season 22 of Dancing with the Stars. Nyle has appeared on TV shows including Switched at Birth, Difficult People and Station 19.

Earlier this month, Nyle was supposed to participate in the AIDS Life Cycle event, in which people do a 545 mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and Los Angeles LGBT Center. The event was canceled this year due to pandemic, but a cycle at home event was held and you can donate to Nyle‘s fundraising page right here. HBO is matching up to $15,000 in donations that are made on his page.

Nyle DiMarco is on the mend.

The 30-year-old model took to Twitter on Monday (March 23) to provide an update on how he’s feeling after potentially contracting the coronavirus.

“I am back to 100% now,” Nyle tweeted. “Just that I need my ability to taste and smell back (not my hearing though please thanks).”

Over the weekend, Nyle said that he believed he had coronavirus after experiencing all of the symptoms, but decided not to get tested.

Even though he had access to the test, Nyle said he decided not take one because he wanted the test to be saved for someone who really needed.

“If you are healthy and have no respiratory issues, I encourage you to be mindful of sick patients that need to get tested more than you do,” Nyle said. “And stay at home to avoid spreading and help flattening the curve. We’re in this together. Let look out for each other!!”

Nyle DiMarco believes that he has coronavirus after experiencing all of the symptoms, but he is not going to take a test.

The 30-year-old model and Dancing With the Stars winner shared an important message with fans to explain why he didn’t take a test, despite having access to one.

“I’ve been really sick and I am now on the mend. I do not typically do this but I wanted to share something,” Nyle said in his video on Instagram. “I’ve been really sick and I am now on the mend. It is very possible I contracted coronavirus and I have access to get tested but I do not want to. The reason is because there is a shortage of covid-19 test kits in the U.S. and the sick patients need it more than I do.”

“For 48 hours starting Sunday night, I had a fever, body chills, a sore throat and a mild cough. All these are symptomatic of COVID-19. Some with COVID-19 have reported not being able to taste or smell. That was my experience too,” Nyle continued. “I knew I wasn’t a high risk so I stayed calm. I communicated with my doctor and self-quarantined. I kept an eye out for any respiratory issues because if it worsened, it could be deadly.”

“But I recovered…. And I still am self-isolating. I’d like to stress that testing is important. Widespread testing has been a key part for some countries like South Korea’s efforts in handling Covid-19. In a perfect world, I’d take the test. Unfortunately the U.S. lacks enough test kits. If you are healthy and have no respiratory issues, I encourage you to be mindful of sick patients that need to get tested more than you do,” he said. “And stay at home to avoid spreading and help flattening the curve. We’re in this together. Let look out for each other!!”
