Omarosa Manigault Says Country Won't be 'Okay' with Trump as President, White House Responds

Omarosa Manigault is continuing to open up about her time at the White House.

During Thursday night’s (February 8) episode of Celebrity Big Brother, the 44-year-old former White House staffer opened up to fellow contestant Ross Mathews about working under President Donald Trump – and she did not hold back.

“I felt like it was a call to duty, I felt like I was serving my country by serving him,” Omarosa told Ross about taking the job. “It was always about the country. Like, I was haunted by tweets every single day. What is he gonna tweet next?”

“Does anybody say to him, ‘What are you doing?’” Ross asked.

“I mean, I tried to be that person, and then all of the people around him attacked me,” an emotional Omarosa said before breaking down in tears.

“Should we be worried?” Ross asked, begging her to tell him everything will “be okay” because that’s what the America wants to hear.

“No, it’s not gonna be okay,” Omarosa said.

After the episode aired, White House Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah addressed Omarosa‘s comments before making it very clear that she was fired from her position.

“Omarosa was fired three times on the Apprentice and this was the fourth time we let her go,” Shah said during a press briefing. “She had limited contact with the president while here. She has no contact now.”

Omarosa, who first became a reality star after her appearance on The Apprentice alongside Trump before being picked as director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison, shared what she learned from her political experience during the episode.

“The one thing that I learned from politics is you have to watch your back, and sometimes you have to watch your front too.”

She also revealed that she was “looking forward to being away from cable news and social media” while inside the house.

“There’s a lot of people who want to stab me in the back, similar to the White House,” Omarosa said regarding her first impressions of the housemates.

Julie Chen Shares Thoughts on Omarosa Joining 'Celebrity Big Brother'

The cast of Celebrity Big Brother was just announced and host Julie Chen is sounding off on former Trump aide Omarosa Manigault being one of the contestants.

This won’t be Omarosa‘s first time on reality television. She was of course one of the most infamous stars of The Apprentice.

“It’s a good thing the word ‘brother’ is between ‘big’ and ‘house’ so it’s not from the White House to the Big House,” Julie told Page Six TV. “We know Omarosa likes a microphone. She likes a camera. She has something to say.”

“After spending one year in the White House – and if you believe what you read in Page Six – I don’t think it was the most pleasant exit when asked to resign…” she added. “I do think she’s going to speak her truth in the House.”

Robin Roberts Throws Shade at Omarosa: 'Bye Felicia'

Robin Roberts wasn’t happy after watching Omarosa Manigault‘s interview on Good Morning America on Thursday (December 14).

During her interview with Michael Strahan about resigning from the White House, Omarosa said, “But when I have my story to tell as the only African-American woman in this White House, as a senior staff and assistant to the president, I have seen things that have made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally, that has affected my community and my people and when I can tell my story, it is a profound story that I know the world will want to hear.”

Clearly, this seemed to upset Robin, because after the interview aired, she responded, “She said she has a story to tell and I’m sure she’ll be selling that story. She will. Bye, Felicia.”
