Oscar Isaac to Play Solid Snake in 'Metal Gear Solid' Movie!

Oscar Isaac is taking on a very cool new role.

The 41-year-old Ex Machina star is set to play Solid Snake in the forthcoming Metal Gear Solid movie in development at Sony Pictures, Variety reported Friday (December 4).

The movie will be based on the 33-year-old video game Konami franchise, which first launched in 1987 on PlayStation. The game follows Solid Snake, a soldier who infiltrates a nuclear weapons facility to neutralize the terrorist threat from Foxhound, a renegade special forces unit.

The script is written by Derek Connolly, and Jordan Vogt-Roberts is directing. It’s actually the dream casting for Oscar, who said he wanted to play the character a year ago!

This popular video game franchise is also getting a screen adaption.

Oscar Isaac To Reunite With Marvel For 'Moon Knight' Series on Disney+

Oscar Isaac is currently in talks to star as the title character in Disney+’s Moon Knight series.

According to Variety, the 41-year-old actor would star as Marc Spector, aka Moon Knight, who is a mercenary that has numerous alter egos as he fights crime when he becomes the human avatar of Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon.

Jeremy Slater will develop and lead the writing team on the series for the network.

Moon Knight is the most recent series to come from the Marvel block, following WandaVision, and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, as well as She-Hulk with Tatiana Maslany in the title role and Ms. Marvel, which will star Iman Vellani.

Although, Tatiana has denied she’s involved in She-Hulk.

Jessica Chastain to Replace Michelle Williams in Upcoming HBO Series, Will Reteam with Oscar Isaac

Jessica Chastain will be reteaming with longtime friend Oscar Isaac in the upcoming HBO limited series Scenes from a Marriage!

The Oscar-nominated actress is replacing fellow Oscar nominee Michelle Williams, who had to drop out of the project due to “scheduling issues,” according to Deadline.

Jessica and Oscar were actually classmates at Julliard and they worked together on the 2014 movie A Most Violent Year.

Scenes from a Marriage is an adaptation of a 1973 Swedish miniseries from Ingmar Bergman. The new series, which will be written and directed by The Affair co-creator Hagai Levi, “re-examines the show’s iconic depiction of love, hatred, desire, monogamy, marriage and divorce through the lens of a contemporary American couple.”

Jessica will also be an executive producer on the project, which will begin shooting soon.

The trailer for one of Jessica‘s very exciting upcoming movies was released earlier this month.

'The Addams Family 2' to Be Released for Halloween 2021 - See the Teaser Posters!

A sequel to the animated movie The Addams Family is on the way and MGM just announced the release date!

The Addams Family 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 8, 2021, just in time for the Halloween season.

Returning for the movie are Charlize Theron (Morticia), Oscar Isaac (Gomez), Chloe Moretz (Wednesday), Nick Kroll (Fester), Bette Midler (Grandma) and Snoop Dogg (It). Joining the cast are Bill Hader as Cyrus and Javon “Wanna” Walton as Pugsley.

Director Greg Tiernan said in a statement, “The success of last year’s animated film was proof of the enduring legacy of The Addams Family and its ability to transcend popular culture. This second film will be every bit as fun as the original. We are thrilled to welcome Bill Hader and Javon Walton, and to welcome back our incredible original cast for this exciting next chapter in the Addams’s journey.”

An Addams Family superfan will have the exciting opportunity to voice a yet-to-be-named character in the film by entering The Addams Family Voice Challenge. The global voiceover contest runs from October 8th to November 4th in select markets.

Warner Bros. Delays Timothee Chalamet's Upcoming Movie 'Dune' Until October 2021

Dune has officially been delayed – until October 2021.

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary have taken the movie off the planned December 18 release schedule and moved it until October next year, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

The news comes after the studio has delayed many more movies due to the pandemic. It was also just announced that Cineworld has shut down more theaters across the country as well.

The movie, directed by Denis Villeneuve, is set in a far future focuses on Paul Atreides as he leads nomadic tribes in a battle to control the desert planet Arrakis.

Dune stars Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Zendaya, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, Dave Bautista, David Dastmalchian, Charlotte Rampling and Stellan Skarsgård.

Timothee Chalamet is starring in the first Dune trailer!

The 24-year-old Oscar-nominated actor stars in the new sci-fi action movie directed by Denis Villeneuve alongside Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, and Rebecca Ferguson.

Dune is a 1965 novel by Frank Herbert and the book was turned into a 1984 movie starring Kyle MacLachlan.

A mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey, Dune tells the story of Paul Atreides (Chalamet), a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence—a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential—only those who can conquer their fear will survive.

Dune is scheduled to be released on December 18.

Michelle Williams & Oscar Isaac Will Star in an HBO Limited Series!

Michelle Williams and Oscar Isaac will lead the cast of an upcoming HBO limited series, Scenes From a Marriage.

The series is an adaptation of the Ingmar Bergman series of the same name, which was released on Swedish television back in 1973.

Variety reports that the “new version is said to re-examine the show’s depiction of love, hatred, desire, monogamy, marriage and divorce through the lens of a contemporary American couple.”

Michelle and Oscar will serve as executive producers in addition to starring in the series, which has been in the works at HBO for years.

Last year, Michelle won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her work in the FX series Fosse/Verdon. It sounds like we might be seeing her there again in the future!
