Looks like it’s a tie between Nightcrawler and Ouija for the top spot at the weekend box office!

Both movies brought in an estimated $10.9 million this Halloween weekend, and final numbers to determine the actual winner will be calculated later this week, Variety reports.

The Jake Gyllenaal thriller, which was in it’s opening weekend, and Ouija’s tie marked the lowest-grossing number one at the box office since the first weekend in September when Guardians of the Galaxy brought in $10.4 million.

Coming in at number three was Brad Pitt‘s Fury, which brought in $9.1 million.

Rounding out the top five is Gone Girl and The Book of Life, which brought in $8.8 and $8.3 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth‘s Before I Go to Sleep did not do well at the box office, bringing in $2 million from 1,935 theaters. This is the worse opening weekend for a film for both Nicole and Colin.

Ouija spooked its way to the top of the weekend box office with a $20 million gross!

According to THR, the horror flick starring Daren Kagasoff and Bianca A. Santos is considered a victory since it cost under $20 million to make.

Coming in second place was Keanu Reeves‘ action movie John Wick, which exceeded expectations with $14.2 million.

Fury, the war film starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, and Logan Lerman, took third, dipping 45 percent to $13 million, for a domestic total of $46.1 million.

Rounding out the top five were Ben Affleck‘s Gone Girl and the family-friendly flick Book of Life, which brought in $11.1 million and $9.8 million, respectively.

At the specialty box office, Birdman, starring Michael Keaton and Emma Stone, continued to soar as it expanded into a total of 50 theaters, earning $1.5 million for a location average of $28,961.

Ouija doesn’t hit theaters until this Friday, but if you are excited about it as we are then you are going to want to watch this video of the cast participating in a spooky seance!

JustJared.com hosted a special screening of the film earlier this month. The cast – Olivia Cooke, Daren Kagasoff, Ana Coto, Shelley Hennig, and Bianca Santos – and some of their celeb friends were in attendance to sit in on a seance together following the movie.

Also in attendance were the movie’s other stars Daren Kagasoff, Ana Coto, Bianca Santos, and Shelley Hennig.

Other stars who stopped by to see the movie included The Walking Dead‘s Emily Kinney, Big Time Rush‘s Kendall Schmidt, Her‘s Portia Doubleday, Vampire Academy‘s Dominic Sherwood, Jessie‘s Chris Galya, Pair of Kings‘ Ryan Ochoa, model Cameron Fuller, and actress Georgie Flores.

After the movie, guests got to attend a special seance at the after party, where select lucky guests were able to sit at the table while the Ouija board was read. Spooky elements were added to make the experience seem extremely real! The table moved, books fell off the shelves, and more!

Emily Kinney sure is used to spooky things as a cast member of The Walking Dead, but she better get ready for a new scary situation when she takes on the Ouija board at an upcoming social seance!

To get hyped up for the release of the new horror film Ouija, the 29-year-old actress will be participating in the seance on October 10 alongside the movie’s cast members like Olivia Cooke, Ana Coto, Daren Kagasoff, Bianca Santos, and Shelley Hennig. She will be asking the Ouija board questions that fans send in so make sure to get your voice heard and see if the spirits have an answer for you.
