Padma Lakshmi is opening up about leaving Top Chef after 19 seasons as host.
The 53-year-old also served as a consulting producer for three seasons, before becoming an executive producer for seven seasons.
In June 2023, Padma shocked fans as she announced she was leaving the show.

Kristen Kish is talking Padma Lakshmi and hosting Top Chef.
The 40-year-old chef spoke out in an interview with Midwest Living about taking over as host ahead of the premiere of Season 21 of Top Chef: Wisconsin, the first season without Padma as host since she stepped down in 2023.

The 53-year-old Top Chef host brought along 13-year-old daughter Krishna as her date to the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday (January 15) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Top Chef is nominated tonight for Outstanding Reality Competition Program.
This is actually the 2023 Emmy Awards show, which was scheduled to take place in September. The ceremony was delayed due to the Hollywood labor disputes, so it was added to the awards season calendar on a Monday night. The Emmys will air live on Fox with Anthony Anderson hosting the event. Janet Jackson meets up with Sia backstage at the Christian Siriano fashion show during 2023 New York Fashion Week at the Pierre Hotel on Friday (September 8) in New York City.
Sia was a surprise guest at the event, where she performed two of her mega hit songs, “Chandelier” and “Diamonds.”
Among the stars sitting front row at the presentation were Avril Lavigne, Kesha, Laverne Cox, Quinta Brunson, Sarah Hyland, Padma Lakshmi, Alicia Silverstone, Harvey Guillen, Laura Linney, and Rosie Perez.
“I stopped making clothes that everybody thought they wanted me to do. I just started making things that I love to do, and I’m glad that a lot of people that want to wear them caught on,” Christian told Fashionista backstage at the event, which included a collection full of soft neutrals, black and tulle.
He added, “Even if you don’t have everybody on your side — I mean, I feel great when Janet Jackson calls and wants five looks.”
The after party for the fashion show was held at Richie Akiva‘s The Ned NoMad and Candy Pop popcorn was served. A dinner party was also held at the new West Village restaurant Ambra.

Top Chef is cooking up its 21st season!
According to local reports, the 21st season of the hit Bravo series is in the middle of filming in Wisconsin, following the big news of a new host.
Viewers spotted film crews at Whole Foods in Milwaukee and Three Brothers in Bay View in August, according to Fox 6.
Season 21 is supposed to air in early 2024 on Bravo, and the top winner gets $250,000.
In the meantime, we already know who’s coming back, and who’s joining the cast as the new host.
