'Killers of the Flower Moon' Intermissions Banned, Apple & Paramount Reprimand Theaters Who Added Them

Some movie theaters are implementing intermissions during screenings of Martin Scorsese‘s Killers of the Flower Moon, prompting Apple and Paramount to intervene.

In spite of the film’s nearly three-and-a-half-hour runtime, Martin did not include an intermission. Still, a small number of theaters around the world have put one in themselves.

Which Streaming Service Cancels the Most Shows? New Study Reveals Which Streamer Has the Highest Cancellation Rate

A new study has revealed which streaming service cancels TV series at the highest rate.

Variety Intelligence Platform (VIP+) and Luminate have collaborated on a new data exploration designed to determine how frequently the leading U.S.-based streaming and linear programmers have cancelled TV shows over the past three years.

The new report, titled “The Show Must Go Off”, was released on Thursday morning (September 14) and offers new insight into the rate at which major streamers cancel series.

David Oyelowo Takes On The Wild West in First Teaser For 'Lawmen: Bass Reeves' - Watch!

Paramount+ dropped the first pics and first trailer for Lawmen: Bass Reeves, which will be out on the streaming network this fall.

Here’s the official summary: Lawmen: Bass Reeves will bring the legendary lawman and outlaws of the Wild West to life. Reeves (David Oyelowo), known as the greatest frontier hero in American history, worked in the post-Reconstruction era as a federal peace officer in the Indian Territory, capturing over 3,000 of the most dangerous criminals without ever being wounded.

The network plans to feature other infamous lawmen in future iterations.

David will star with Lauren E. Banks, Demi Singleton, Forrest Goodluck, Barry Pepper, Donald Sutherland and Dennis Quaid.

Taylor Sheridan‘s upcoming Lawmen: Bass Reeves is filling out its cast!

With David Oyelowo in the title role, Paramount+ just announced four new additions to the cast for the upcoming Yellowstone franchise show.

Here’s the summary for the forthcoming series: “Known as the greatest frontier hero in American history, and also believed to be the inspiration for The Lone Ranger, Reeves worked in the post-Reconstruction era as a federal peace officer in the Indian Territory, capturing over 3,000 of the most dangerous criminals without ever being wounded,” the logline reads.

'Yellowstone' Will Conclude With Season 5, But a New Spinoff Is Already In the Works

Yellowstone will officially end after the release of the final episodes from its fifth season, but it’s not all bad news for fans.

The future of the Paramount hit series has been hanging in the balance for a while now amid questions about franchise star Kevin Costner‘s plans for the future. A recent report suggested that he would exit the show after the fifth season.

It has since been confirmed that the show will conclude with its fifth season. However, another spinoff show is already in the works.

'Galaxy Quest' TV Series Is In Development at Paramount+

A new show based on the 1999 cult-classic film Galaxy Quest is currently in development at Paramount+.

The original film was a spoof and parody of Star Trek and its fandom. Paramount+ is currently home to five original Star Trek series.

The original film starred Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, and Sam Rockwell.

Rickman, who also starred in Harry Potter, passed away in 2016 due to pancreatic cancer.

The proposed TV series was originally being developed with the original cast at Amazon in 2015, before Rickman passed away.

Galaxy Quest was the feature-film debut for both Justin Long and Rainn Wilson.

The new TV series is executive produced by the film’s producer Mark Johnson, per Deadline.

Galaxy Quest grossed over $90 million at the box office and gaining cult-classic status as it received support from many Star Trek actors and fans alike.

Paramount+ is also developing Star Trek: Section 31, an original movie in which the Everything Everywhere All at Once actress Michelle Yeoh will reprise her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou, a character she first played in Star Trek: Discovery Season 1.
